I’ve got an ownership model for the open. It’s cantlay is going to be huge ownership and also webb simpson. And I personally will have 100% tiger

  • BBWC_10

Is there no TV coverage of the JDC?

  • forthemasters69

i would be surprised if webb simpson isn’t the highest owned player in the open at that price…..Cantalay will be high owned as well but there are plenty of other good options in that price range

Haha you said exactly what I said in the Open forum. I agree with that. Webb will be highest owned, and I have him at 30%.

Who would have thought that Meyer would birdie 2 of the last 3 holes but bogey the par 5 in between? Not me, but I’ll take it. 4 birdies in the round and a shot at the cut line tomorrow if he plays well.

Care to share more about this model with us? Sounds like you’ve built in some tweaks to recent form to account for course difficulties and/or opponents. Are you also applying the typical other factors like SG categories that fit the course, course history, vegas odds, DK pricing values, etc? Just like to get a feel for other ideas. Thanks.

I haven’t built that into any ownership model. I don’t think SG has much effect on ownership except that SG: T2G has a bit more weight than SG: putting (hence why Ben An will come in higher than others in his range historically). I think I will add like recent form (regardless of course) into the ownership model and get rid of World Ranking. I thought Vegas would be somewhat more popular than Merritt and Ryder (not like 50% of their ownership) because of World Ranking, but that seems to be a non-factor.

Straka man. What a collapse on the back nine.

I mis-read. I thought you were describing who was at the top of your rankings model – not your ownership model.’

I’ve never even considered trying to figure out ownerships on my own.

hovland couldn’t you have gotten your bogey on hole 5 instead?

  • sports667

Danny Lee with a double on the very easy 1st. Good start.

I scrolled past all of these top 20 and clicked on troy merritt. such a sucker

    Nice double HV111

I mistakenly entered one of my regular lineups in Jimmy_golfs52 less than 8000 JDC. If I should happen to win I will make arrangements with the 2nd place entry. It was a total brain freeze…

When talking about ownership is that because you play so many LU’s? For someone like myself who plays about 5 LU’s am I doing it wrong to not care about ownership for like 4 golfers who I think are going to do well and hope to differentiate with the other 2 golfers?

Wes Roach is a bad golfer. And I am a bad DFS player for taking him.

I’m surprised that Ryan Palmer is only 10% owned. He was top of the field in all the ball striking stats I was looking at but wasn’t getting any tout love. I’m like 50% so really happy to see him birdie 4 of his first 5 holes.

    Vegas double, rough.

Depends on what made you select him

I picked guys like Joel Dahmen, Troy Merritt, and Trey Mullinax, so something ain’t right with me either.

The less lineups you play the less relevant ownership becomes and this is mainly due to the concept that superstars mentioned of leverage to the field. For example if he’s playing 150 lineups then he really needs to have a good idea of ownership because he would have to play a guy on a TON of lineups to end up with say double the field on a high owned guy.

The fewer lineups you play the easier it is for you to get leverage without trying. For example if you only play 5 lineups and you like a guy and put him on 3 lineups, well then you are going to have decent leverage on the field no matter what because no golfer in the last few years of DFS has every approached 60% ownership. The times I think that single lineup or limited lineup players should be factoring ownership is in considering the overall ownership of your lineup. As you said i don’t think you need to worry about any individual player or couple of players as long as you are ensuring at least one or two low owned guys on your lineup, and this is because similar the concept above your low owned guys also have much higher leverage to the field and will really be the ones that make or break your lineup more so than the chalk.

I actually just cancelled mine today. I wasn’t using it enough to justify it and I’ve recently subscribed to youtube tv. I may jump back in come February when my work/life schedule allows me to watch more golf, but I haven’t been getting my monies worth as of late.

Danny Lee drove it in the bunker, laid up in the bunker and his approach to the green right in the bunker
