It’s official from the report I just saw. He’s starting this week. Thoughts for sunday?

  • gooch2306

Could go either way. Hard to trust a rookie that hasn’t hit the field for a full regular season game. I’d say strictly a GPP boom/bust play.

  • duder500

    RG Mod

    180 yards passing
    80 on the ground
    1 int
    2 tds

That is my gut feeling. Not a lot of BOOM there tho…

Enough boom to make value. Especially if one of the tds is on the ground.

  • infantryboys

If nothing else, I think it increases Crow’s upside, especially against the Bengals run D.

If that’s really your projection then he’s an absolute must play. I’d say 22.2 on FD for 6.7k is a whole lot of boom (3.31x).

  • infantryboys

Where do you get 22.2 out of that on FD?

  • salarycapfantasy

Of course the experienced FD knows that you laid out some good points there.

7.2 points passing. 0.04 points per yard.
8 points rushing. 0.1 point per yard.
    What, -1 for an INT.
2 TD? Lets, say one in the air at 4 points and one on the ground at 6 points.
24.2 points is pretty good for $6700.

Same as me but I think he took the 2 TD as both passing TD.

  • JHols1nger

    180 x.04=7.2 80×0.1=8 2td=8 1int=-1

  • infantryboys

Got it, from the previous post I was also taking one of those TDs to be on the ground, too.

  • Cobra_Kai

I love the fact that a lot of folks will be on him…

    …and I wont.

  • Joe1Coal

Cinci might wreck him… 3 INT 0 TD?

  • androo2008

Maybe this helps gordon get more than 3 points.

Throw in a couple of fumbles, too.

The potential here for him to become a turnover machine (or get blown up in the 1st qtr), coupled with the high ownership are more than likely going to make me stay away.

  • deactivated17417

My biggest concern is if he gets injured

  • terrymandangle

Ya I think he will be highly owned as everyone loves the shiny new toy. I will probably have a few gpp lineups with him but i wont go crazy.

  • mrclutch

Anyone making anything of Marvin Lewis calling Johnny a midget?

I can’t imagine JF needing any more motivation coming into his first start, but I can’t help but think it’ll be in the back of his mind. JF has a history of using bulletin board material to boost his play.

Again, I doubt it means much from a fantasy standpoint, but he’s going to be taking off and running every chance he can and we all know how that can boost a QB’s fantasy output. I do hate that he’ll be so highly owned though.

  • chiasports

    YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!

johny football will go off on that cincy def which reminds me of a sinking ship. clev fans will be going nuts and the only thing playing on tv mon is johnny highlights!

    stat line and I’m being conservative … 3 td .. 348 yards passing.. 48 rushing 0 int

  • JohnnyTsunami

You must be a browns fan.

Like stated above, I see him making value but by more so from the ground rather than through the air…..

  • NCRick

I like that hes starting. That way not everyone will be on Anderson.

I’m all over Derek Anderson this week, but honestly I like him better in cash than GPP.

that is his pie in the sky ceiling imo… if the bengals let him get 80y rushing lewis should be fired Monday

all i can say is cleve has made my fantasy defense choices very easy the next few weeks…

  • DRTII

Him catching the ball might help, too. “Help me, help you!” – Johnny

80 yards rushing for a guy that runs when the pocket breaks down and receivers are covered? That’s going to be like every f’ng down, dude. I find it hard to believe that he can’t gash 80 on 9 attempts. Oh, and there will be 9 attempts.
