Just wanted to get some of your opinions on my situation. In my keeper league I have to pick 2 players to keep for this year. I have it narrowed to Gronk, Julio Jones and Randal Cobb.

I planned on keeping Julio and Gronk. With Jordy going down would you pivot to Cobb instead?

Nope. While Cobb will be big, the Julio is a top 3 WR and Gronk is a top TE. I’d keep those two for sure.

  • BreakingBacon

Yeah keep Julio and gronk, then hope whoever is holding lacy drops him and you’re drafting first

drafted my only year long with the buddys last night, I didnt get any packers but was the first one around to grab Adams off the wire, and have proposed trades to try and get some packers exposure or bait the nelson owner into a bad trade its getting closer guys.

I would keep Julio and Cobb. If you can guarantee me Gronk will play 16 games, then I would keep him. Since he always finds a way to get hurt, I think Julio and Cobb are the way to go.

Just had the guy who drafted jordy try to pawn him off on me for Calvin Johnson, in his message he said:

“Your getting a guy who doesn’t have an injury risk like Calvin”, what a baffoon as yahoo has even posted the news on player profile.

Adams should have been drafted. The free to grab waivers is kind of unfair because the guy who looks at the news first can just grab the guy.

I lean Julio and Cobb as Gronks injury history along with Brady missing a few games make me believe he is not worth as much as most people will initially think

I didnt make the rules or it would have been PPR and its a 8 person league, the friends i joined with where also unfamiliar with my DFS knowledge. No one liked my post draft trade offers anyways not to mention there have only been 3 successful trades over 4 full seasons in this league all involving me.

While we are talking about some Season Long advice.. I need some as well.. 2 Keeper league, 1 PPR for receptions. Tons of guys off the board to start, I kept Julio and Evans. I have the first pick in the draft bc others kept some #1 picks, and I have my choice of Lynch or Brown. Torn bc I have 2 WR’s already, but Brown is potentially the #1 WR in all of fantasy this year. Any thoughts? I’m leaning Brown and just going in stacked at WR.

  • JSteele

    Trade Nelson for Kelvin Benjamin

  • xandamere

I’d go brown over Lynch, easily.

Brown easily. You can get some RBs later on the draft. Take the best player in PPR and move on.

This question is unanswerable without knowing what you give up to keep them?

  • redhawk60014

Nope, stick with Julio and Gronk.

  • MRCOOKONUTS

Play jordy and be contarian. He will be low owned since he is not playing.😁😁😁😁

I’m guessing XM fantasy radio is going to be filled with a question similar to this all day today.

the best course of action would probably be to stop playing season long and focus only on daily :D

Yeh I am down to just 2 leagues. I have played in them for about 10 years.

The keeper league is converting to a dynasty league so I am going to try and draft Jordy last pick and put him on IR all year.

Thank you guys for the responses, I ended up with Gronk and Julio. Steady TE production is just to hard to come by. I think I can draft another WR that could get close to Cobb’s number.

As a Packers fan who follows the training camp closely, I’d say go with Cobb. Adams is a solid #2 even though he is unproven, so there is no “he will get all the attention now”. Cobb will still be slot receiver as #1 and he also came out of the backfield several times per game last season on running plays and screens. Rodgers has one of the best lines in the league (and most of the OL backups are studs too, btw), one of the best running backs who can also catch (lacy), and 3 potential bright stars waiting to step up to the #3 role. It’s also goofy things like having a reliable kicker and a below average D that will provoke our offense into aggressive formations more often than not. This is going to be a fun year to watch the packers.

Season long can be quite profitable with very little effort… Much less weekly effort than putting together daily teams…
