Just wondering why you guys don’t offer that anymore. I just kind of read that FantasyAces is closing was curious if DraftPot did too ro what was up with that.

I don’t know the answer to what happened, but I will give DraftPot props for honoring my withdrawal request. As soon as the Aces fiasco came to light, I pulled my money from DraftPot and the Paypal withdrawal was processed right away. I did this not because anything is wrong with DP, but I’m just not comfortable with money being held anywhere other than DK and FD.

“not because anything is wrong with DP”

I’d say that there is plenty wrong with Draftpot these days. Every time I check the site, they are dead in the water. When is the last time that Draftpot actually offered a contest?

There seem to be a number of sites that fit this description these days. Draftfury has been “dead” for nearly a year. Star Fantasy may as well be dead. Am I missing anyone else?

Yeah, DP doesn’t seem to have much going on, but it’s more important to me that the DP guys didn’t run off with my money, like Aces did.

Yeah, as I mentioned in the FA thread, I had $$ just sitting on Draftpot for months, and when I requested a withdrawal it was done immediately. The people at Draftpot seem to have a good deal more integrity than some of the other smaller sites, and I hope they resume posting tourneys one day.

Draftpot was enjoyable, and I hope they don’t go under. Regardless though, removing the salary cap is an interesting idea because it could make DFS harder to “solve”… which would be a good thing. Just paraphrasing an idea I read somewhere.

The last time draftpot offered a contest was week 15 of nfl. I’ve checked back every week or so since. The no salary cap twist made for a fun adjustment of strategy, but I feared them going out of business for about a year. I played baseball there everyday and there was almost always overlay. I think they operated at a loss through the whole summer until football, and then football entries were very erratic so that some times contests would fill by early Sunday morning and sometimes they’d have 25% overlay. Those days were sweet, but obviously not for them.

Interestingly, draftpot founder Joey Levy lists on his linkedin profile ( that he was CEO and founder of draftpot until February 2016. That was probably the beginning of the end. That being said, I echo others’ comments that they were never anything less than scrupulous since I began playing there in Novemeber 2015. I’d be happy to continue playing there or any startup engineered by the same people.
