Until today, our Lineup Builder has been geared towards finding combinations of lineups for multi-entry play based on combinations of players you like for the day/week.
Several users, however, want to use the tool to find the best available lineup based on given projections. We now support this feature in our ever-evolving Lineup Builder.
On the Lineup Builder, you will now see two paths you can take: “Find Optimal Lineup” or “Find Multiple Lineups”. The latter option works identical to the way our lineup builder worked before this release. The first option, “Find Optimal Lineup”, will find a single best lineup with the given input parameters.
As a first release—with the exception of the DK option to “put latest start available player in the FLEX”—many of our existing “settings” only work with the “Multiple Lineups” option, mostly because they don’t make sense when you want to find a single best lineup (e.g. “variability”, “exposure”, and “number of desired lineups” are oxymoronic when wanting to produce only one lineup).
You also can’t currently “favorite” players at a certain exposure level when finding an optimal lineup, but you can still “lock in” a player and exclude as many players as you want from the final output.
Some of these “settings” limitations aren’t the most intuitive, so we plan on cleaning up the design of the page to lessen the learning curve and make it clearer, but we wanted to get this “Find Optimal” option out in the meantime since such a feature is important to many of our users.
Check the tool out, and let us know what you think!
