Are there any plans to implement a feature that will allow for the LineupHQ config to be saved, either offline or online. I like the tool a lot, but it’s really frustrating to work on it for a few days and find everything’s gone. I know it’s not supposed to unless I clear my browser cache, but I feel like that has happened without clearing cache.

    Thanks!

I was testing out the lineuphq and attempted to make 150 lineups. It created 150 lineups but would not export to csv. I got an error box from rotogrinders that told me there was an error with the csv service and try again later. Anyone ever have that happen? Is there a work around to this when this happens.

    Thanks

Any fix in sight for LineupHQ on mobile iOS devices? Really frustrating that so many other sites can figure out how to allow custom projections and CSV downloads, but it still isn’t functional here.

Okay everybody tonight is the night. I have decided to use the lineup HQ that RotoGrinders provides. I have also decided to finally step out into the waters of the mass entry tournaments. I have been playing small for the past month since I started, getting my feet wet and learning along the way, and this is the first time I am going to do multiple entries in one contest. I have decided it’s time to go big or don’t go at all. I used the exclusive premium content provided by RotoGrinders to help build my lineups. Good luck to everyone tonight, as I feel this is going to be an awesome slate for everyone!!

I have a general question about LineupHQ and pitching variability. I apologize if I am posting this in the wrong place, but having a hard time navigating to any support on this topic. I will try illustrating my question with an example. Suppose I want to build 20 lineups for a max-20 entry GPP. I have 5 pitchers that I’ve targeted that I am high on for the night. When I build my line-ups, the same pitchers are always paired together. Pitcher 1 is always with Pitcher 2, but I never get any combinations with Pitcher 1 and Pitcher 3 or Pitcher 1 and Pitcher 4. I would like to be able to get as many combinations of the 4 pitchers as possible to spread risk.

I was able to achieve something similar to what I want by changing the Variability from Optimal to Random; however, this also impacts the hitters – which I don’t want at all.

Any thoughts on how this can be achieved would be greatly appreciated. And sorry again if I’m posting this question to the wrong forum.

    Thanks,
    Jay

I don’t think there’s a guaranteed way to do what you’re looking for with automation, i.e. make sure that you have combos of each pitcher with each other pitcher – to do that you’ll probably have to build different sets of lineups, because the model is going to start from the most optimal lineup and work down towards the least and pitchers have a big hand in that given how many points they usually score. That being said, a few things to help get there:

    1) Make sure you set a min exposure for all pitchers you want to ensure they all end up in your lineups

    2) Make sure you set a max exposure for the pitchers the model likes most so you aren’t overweight on them / get more combos

    3) Set number of unique players to a high number (4-5) to force more differentiation b/w your lineups

Again, not perfect but will push you closer to what you’re looking for. To ensure the level of differentiation you’re describing, you’d have to run the model for each pair of pitchers you want to use.

Hi, is there a specific aspect that isn’t working? Or can you provide more information for me to pass along? Thanks.

certain slates always not showing up on the drop down for DK MLB

Still doesn’t work on an iPad so its a massive fail

After I do a custom player pool, is there a way to save that player pool to go back and forth from Draftkings and Fanduel HQ? It takes some time to enter a custom pool with say 40 players for will say DK. When I switch to Fanduel, I want the same pool of players but have to go through and pick them all over again.

  • artsemis

The biggest issue for me is the UI and UX. To name a few:

    - You can’t reorder fields. If you want to see K% and opposing team at the same time, you have to hide a dozen fields between.

    - Certain fields can’t be hidden (umpire K% and BB% are mistakenly tied to the non-umpire toggle; other fields are completely missing toggles… hide everything to see which ones).

    - The hide sidebar feature does nothing to give you more room to work with. The sidebar goes away but the data table doesn’t expand at all.

    - Uploading custom projections should still make the original projections visible somewhere – even if it’s just a mouseover. It’d be nice to know if I project someone differently than what most users would see them at.

As it is, it’s pretty unusable for me… I’d love to learn how people are able to make use of it aside from filtering players out on name recognition only.

It would be great to have pitch count included in the pitcher statistics.

There isn’t an easy way to do this right now since player pools edits are stored by slate for a site. But we hope to have the ability to copy player pool edits between slates and sites before the start of NFL season.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    - Being able to reorder columns isn’t high on our priority list and not something we get many requests about unfortunately.

    - We’ll look into fixing the toggling of umpire K and BB columns and the resizing of the table when you hide the sidebar.

    - If you upload your custom projections you can see your projections with the original RG projections if you open up the projections upload popup again. Not sure if that is helpful for you. We haven’t had many requests to add a separate column for the RG default projections, but that could be a possibility if it were hidden by default.

    - People use LineupHQ in many different ways and I would love to see their replies here as well. Here is a tutorial that RG expert STLCardinals84 did about how he uses LineupHQ for multi-entering MLB GPPs if you haven’t watched it yet.

  • artsemis

Thanks for the response – I’m surprised there wouldn’t be more requests for column reordering but if the filters all get fixed it’d help. I did notice it’s a bit more useful on my home monitors (much larger) than my laptop. On the smaller screen there’s just way too much horizontal scrolling.

If reordering columns isn’t an option, perhaps the ability to pin columns to the left would be easier. Not sure what javascript library is being used but that may be somewhat easy, depending.

Another issue (I did send to Support over email) is that you cannot upload multiple files anymore. Whether it’s to adjust projections or upload pitchers and hitters separately, once you upload once, the button stops working.

I’ve passed that on to the team.

inability to export multiple lineups using an Ipad…

  • rannas23

What type of browser is best for everyone to use here for the LineHQ? I use a decent laptop and use Microsoft Edge and Mozilla…but a lot of times when I attempt to generate a lot of lineups the page gets stuck and doesn’t show all the lineups to scroll down or it bugs out and get errors from lineuphq to try again later. Its the only page or optimizer that I’ve used that bugs out on me on my laptop.

    It’s fixed, thank you!

    [ Edit: Broken again :( ]

  • redsox024

Unacceptable that a pay site like RG can’t even handle making lineups for an increasingly popular slate. When is it no longer offline? Midnight?

  • rannas23

Is there a way to export the LineupHQ table to a spreadsheet…I have sometimes connectivity issues or site issues of lagging when trying to review all the multiple columns. It would be easier for me to view in a spreadsheet format and filter and sort. Would be awesome if I could export the lineupHQ into csv format then import my final player base before building multiple lineups.

  • rannas23

guess no response to the exporting of lineuphq table to a spreadsheet before using the building lineups button macro. Would like to know if this is possible.

Also, is there a way to save built lineups before the exporting to csv file. Say I work on an main 7:00 slate early in the morning and build a decent core with a certain %. Knowing by the afternoon there will most likely be changes to the roster and who is starting. Is there a way to keep those saved lineups I did in the morning and working around new information by the end of the day? I tried using the Save all lineups button..but when I signed out and turned my computer off, I come back later those lineups are gone? What is the use of the save all lineups? Thanks for any help with the lineuphq.

It is not possible to export LineupIQ to a CSV file or spreadsheet.
