Will we see smaller contests next week?

Everything across the board didn’t fill.

I know it’s week 1, but did both these sites lose a lot of casual players?

  • Brandon23

This happens every year. It’s a draw to new players because they see a prize pool of $5 million. They already released a couple contests for next week and it looks like the $20 will be the big one next week. They’ve got plenty of money to cover the overlay.

  • AWoo

I doubt they overlay again tbh. Reason is because they have 1 week’s worth of sample size to adjust accordingly. Also, DK random lineup crashes (2 times this morning) caused them to lose thousands of entries likely because of the delay/fixing the issue.

In the case of FD maybe a lot of the people playing Thurs saw the dramatic changes and reduced their volume.

    What changes?

Bummer, it was fun playing the Milly Maker for just $3, I don’t have any interest at $20.

DK is smart. Get people interested in the Milly Maker with a small $3 buy-in, and then bump it up to $20.

I also think a 150 max entry limit has something to do with it as well! Wasn’t it 500 at the beginning of last season? Then changed to 200 now 150? For DK

Playing against 1.5 mil entries was fun?

Throwing a single lineup in at $3 was a lot more fun than doing it at $20.

    I won $7. :p

Me thinks the sites create overlay week 1 on purpose in order to get people to deposit to take advantage of the overlay. They know most of it will come-back to them by the end of the year.

  • BlackGambino

Seems fishy, to then come back the next week and have the break even odds increased to 29.20% on the Thursday Snap, and the $5 Thursday Snap only paying out to the top 19.5% w/ a good chunk going to the winner. Less money for the bottom, I got a feeling a lot of people are going to be disappointed this week.
