Top 5 guys in fanduel baseball tourney all have exact same lineups. ehafner, saahilsud, halfcentaur, dollarbillw and wawonaman

  • BobbyTheBrain

Kinda sucks for those of us who play a couple of lineups a night and donour own research. Should have a grinders ranking for those of us who dont enter 500 lineups a night. Or use computer generated lineups.

  • awilson45

Play single entry, 3 max, or the new 20 max tourney DK has

  • BobbyTheBrain

Yea so i enter a single entry with a lineup and then 5 different people enter that same tournament with the exact same lineup. Really wish there was a way around it…kind of hard to stop though.

In a GPP? Umm.. Not sure if that’s the situation where anyone would lineup share.

  • BobbyTheBrain

Maybe your right. Must just be a coincidence. My bad!

So when others have the same the lineup, it’s collusion… But when you have the same lineup as 5 other people it’s called what? :)

Sometimes on FanDuel MLB you’ll find cases where users will stack 4 players from one team and 4 players from another team where the positions correlate well. This allows you to get core pieces of two offenses and if they both go off you shoot up the leaderboards. And when a GPP allows for 150 entries it gives you flexibility to try variations of these stacks.

Does it look like that might be the case here where there are team stacks of 4/4? If so, I don’t think it’s so much lineup sharing as it is users using the same roster construction theory.

In general lineup sharing for a GPP doesn’t help because say that is the winning lineup… They all share the top prize… Now for a 50/50 or something like that there could be an advantage to that theoretically.

  • Phinsfan83

I have noticed this in the past. Not the people you mention so much as others. This year seems to be even worse though. The sites do not seem to care when people with the same Avatar pic have the exact same lineup in all the single entry 50/50, and multipliers night in and night out. I still enjoy making my own lineups and coming up with what I feel is a good lineup.

I can see how this could happen on a small slate but on a full slate of 8-12 games the amount of overlap/exact lineups is kind of crazy.

In the 20 max entry on FD last night it went 1,two tied for 2/2 and I tied with a guy for 4/4 so it does happen.
Edit: Also we had different lineups, same score.

Also noticed in FD 500k a few people in the top 20 have ties…same score, different lineups. Did you check to see if that is what happened in the $25 event?

  • Messiah717

And now you see how the pros mass enter x4 or x5. Enjoy.

i guarantee you that ehafner doesnt share his lineups with saahilsud lol…..instead of complaining, try and learn from it, and them one day you will be at the top tied with a pro, because you thought and strategized like one!

  • BobbyTheBrain

Your right must be purely a coincidence. Funny…when u say strategize like a pro. Do you mean mass entering between 500 and 800 lineups in a contest. Bro i enter 2-3 contests a night and have taken down quite a few tournaments on my own hard work and research not some computer generated algorithm with a team of people helping me. So please tell me who is the pro.

  • Messiah717

It’s not a coincidence when it happens constantly across every sport. The only thing to learn from it would be to do it also.

  • BobbyTheBrain

Especially with the variance in mlb

It’s been almost 2 years since you could enter 500 times in a tournament and I’ve never seen 800. If you’re going to whine, at least don’t be ridiculous bro.

Seems like a weekly occurrence now where someone comes on here whining about losing even though they claim to be so good at this but forget we can click on their names and see that they probably aren’t that good at this. Then there’s always the “if I could afford to max enter” argument. Same response as always, if you think it’s as easy as just max entering, everyone would be doing it. Instead of whining because 5 people had the same LU in a tourney with 75k entries, try building better lineups.

    Good luck and happy grinding.

  • BobbyTheBrain

    Coming from somebodybwho mass enters

And in response to someone who clearly only comes here to whine about people he thinks are cheaters or ask if websites or down. You haven’t made a single post on here in 3 years that was about anything other than that. Maybe read some strategy posts or ask for advice. Maybe you would do a little better at DFS.

  • BobbyTheBrain

Shouldnt you be running a script or buying lineups right now…games are starting soon

  • superstars92

    This is hilarious.

I entered the 444 dollar tournament on DK. It has ONLY around 1000 entries, with multi-entries allowed. I submitted only 1 single entry into the tourney. Guess what. Somehow, two other people, BrandonAdams and BattleTurtle, have the EXACT SAME LINEUP as me, from the pitchers to the players, despite there being only around 1000 entries.

I created this lineup off the top of my head, no lineup optimizer or anything like that. I just wanted the Astros and Royals stacks, and somehow, I get 2 other users (both have multi-entries though) duplicate my exact same lineup. The lineup has 300 dollars left over too, and I have the same lineup in the 55 dollar tourney with Beltre instead of Moustakis (Beltre as a one-off) that’s NOT duplicated that has full salary.

I guess if you can have 3 dupes in a 1000 entry, then it is possible for people to have the same lineup in a larger tourney. I can assure you I have no idea who these other 2 are, never used any lineup optimizer/selling service in my life, and I literally made my lineup like 1 hour before lock in 10 mins.
