Another day with many supposedly studly SP’s going. Apart from the studs Cole/Archer/Mullet, McHugh looks good on the early slate. I think today is the day Pelfrey turns back into a pumpkin.

Heading to PNC Park today. Yay.

    Supposed to rain. Boo.

Just as I control how pitchers will do just by clicking my mouse, it turns out I also control the weather just by purchasing tickets.

Rolling out cards/Cruz/Miggy power stack and an Astros stack. Loving value at pitching today on DK :3

The pirates are dead to me… That is all. Lol

I don’t think I can roster anyone other than archer, Degrom, or cole

  • ptothedo

Staying far away from PIT today. Like Archer today and Colorado stack.

Don’t get the pulled pork pierogie sandwich. It sounds delicious, but is a great big disapointment like Primanti Brothers.

  • laser1000000

    Anyone going after Verlander today?

  • rotoryan

I actually love the PIT LHed bats today. Many people will avoid them due to their performance yesterday, but O’Sullivan’s splits vs lefties are ghastly.

I am not playing deGrom simply because the Braves do not strike out much. Playing Archer and plugging in an assortment of value pitchers. At least one value pitcher has been scoring big the last few nights. Looking at Tex, Hou, Stl, and Col bats

  • silliness718

Texas line down to 9 o/u

I’m hoping Polanco doesn’t suck two days in a row.

This might be a great idea the way the stud pitchers are getting hit.

I do find it a little odd that Vegas has PIT scoring less than 4 runs with O’Sullivan on the bump. Maybe something to take into account. Polanco is the only current Pirate in my cash lineup even though I also like Walker/Alvarez. Other guys at 1B and 2B that I like better.

  • noddy

Walker has been so bad I can’t roster him.

I moved to Pittsburgh area about 8 years ago. Everyone was like “You’ve got to try Primanti’s!”

    Tried it. Regrets.

Quaker Steak and Lube and Dino’s and Vincent’s. Pittsburghers should talk about these. Having people do Primanti’s makes us look dumb.

  • ayudame

I agree. Lived in Pittsburgh all my life and went to primantis once and that was enough.

Seattle smacked 4 HR’s off of McHugh last outing, and interestingly enough those were the only 4 runs they scored in the game.

Yeah it’s not often you see a SP with more HR’s allowed than K’s in a 7 inning start, but McHugh did just that in that last start vs SEA. 3 of those 4 dongs were in the same inning (3rd). 6 hits allowed, 4 of them dongs.

Hopefully he K’s a few more today and gives up less HRs. Just plunk Cruz when he comes up :)

I’ve been here 15 years now. I do Primanti’s about once or twice a year. Gotta soak that shit in hot sauce.
Breakfast at DeLuca’s is where its at, that’s where we take all our visitors. If you head out to Latrobe for training camp, make sure to check out Jioio’s pizza.

Today is a good day to be in the bleachers in d-town. Carrasco will get shelled and the tribe typically hit a dong or two off of verlander.. And im assuming its his first start of the year.. Bombs away!

  • noddy

I’m still going with the top 3 pitchers. I’ve identified some value hitters that allows me to do this.

On another note my son turned 21 so I’m taking him to Hollywood casino and racetrack today.

FWIW, a book that I use has the total at 4.5 for the Pirates.

What do you guys think about a Miller/deGrom combo?

  • ElSlappo

After Kevin Roth’s weather update – going to dial back the Cole exposure I think
