    Something doesn’t make sense.

Seattle is playing in a hitter’s park against a not so great pitcher. They’re averaging 6.2 runs over their last 10 games. Yet, they’re only projected for 4 implied runs.

    What gives?

I’ve never heard that Oakland is a hitter’s park.

    That’s news to me too.

Just the massive amount of foul territory alone makes it a pitcher’s park.

Bassitt is not a gas can either.

Yet bad for strikeouts (overall). However, game to game a pitcher can rack up strikeouts in Oak.

I do like the Oakland offense here not for nothing and Bassitt is interesting but prob won’t make the cut. Seattle’s hot start is donezo.

Everything appears to be all over the place today. I’m doing ten lineups with five different stacks and one or two will be contrarian. I’m just going to hope one will get me in the top 20 of the Dime Time.

With a lot of aces out there and being a massive 15 game slate, plenty of places to be contrarian.

I like a mini Dback stack or a one off against Scherzer.

  • Jase32

I couldn’t pull the trigger on that. I am splitting Max and Cole. I’m going contrarian with Miami and SF. The dime was not available for the 8 game slate so had to do the 15. I didn’t change much though so no Coors stack for me.

  • hcassidy

Ugh, have to leave for work in 10 minutes and still waiting on 2 Lineups. Disappointing considering they are very good at getting their lineups out hours before first pitch.

  • Lathum

Gonna get a lineup from the Mets or Card sometime this century?

  • Lathum

    Shhot.

Just realized its because that stupid suspended game

At the risk of looking incredibly stupid in a few hours, I’ll say that I don’t think Hoffman is the worst idea for a cheap pitcher. Yes he gives up a lot of hard contact but he also has a good bit of K upside and has a pitcher’s umpire. I think he’s a good bit underpriced on DK for his ceiling.

You’re not actually doing it though are you? Not when Sanchez is just sitting all the way down there at 4.6K or can go up to the greatly under priced Mahle and Fried?

Considering the amount of Padres stacks I have, I’m guessing he does halfway decent though.

Debating a Matz/Plutko pairing…. talk me out of it

I am actually. I just can’t do Mahle against that many lefties. You aren’t wrong on any of those guys but I’m rolling with Hoffman. It’s either great leverage or I end up with a negative pitcher which is no different than most other nights lol

Eh, that’s a tough one to talk you out of. I just think you MIGHT need more upside than that pairing has tonight. I’m really stuck on Heaney/E-Rod/Mahle/Fried. Sprinkling in Cole where I can. Sanchez when I really want something cheap. Not using much else. I don’t hate Matz. I think I may have him somewhere. I wouldn’t talk you out of it. I just think in that lower range Mahle and Fried are better options than Plutko, and cheaper.

Mahle and Fried I am not considering… one in Small American Ballpark vs many lefties and the other one due for regression.
Plutko has the matchup on his side.
Going away from Matz once I saw a EH umpire that will play in the hands of a patient STL lineup…. gonna pivot to Bassit
This for the Single entry, unless I change something rolling with SD/CLE and Bassit/Plutko…. not sure how many times the Indians failed me but they are in a really good spot.

In the minimax my pitchers are Cole 50%, Max 80%, Heaney, Bassitt and Davis

EDIT: SE lineup is now a CLE/SD/OAK/MIL 2-2-2-2… really like Braun/Yasmani vs Pomeranz

I can understand all that. Don’t mind Davis either. Fried’s ERA is right between his SIERA and xFIP though, so I’m not sure he’s due for regression. I think that last start knocked him back in line.

    I like them too
Just that flyball pitchers sometimes can get hit hard and still not give out much if they give up solo shots or if the Fb gets caught

I may be wrong on Fried. You are correct on the last start balancing things
