What are 2 teams that are likely to score over 10 runs today

  • lovpink

I wonder what the ownership for Josh James will be 9100 4.91 ERA VRs Angels and He’s going to pitch a whole inning or so.

Valdez could be interesting if Trout doesn’t play.

Locking Giolito into SP1. He prob averages 30 DK points be KC. Leaning stacking some Reds and Pirates.

Seems like a Musgrove/Norris and jam in BoSox, Dodgers, Coors kind of night.

So that means play Gio/Snell/Castillo and stack Jays, Reds, and Tigers.

  • Tcbaseballfan

Dodgers lefties, Dahl, Murphy, luplow, and pray for Porcello on FD today.

Which one of us is mistaken?

There’s a double header today. Samardzjia/Marquez game 1, then main slate night game is Rodriguez and Chi Chi.
Did they move him off the 1st game? Not seeing anything.

  • hcassidy

Anyone playing the afternoon Coors Showdown? It has a very high Implied Run Total but as I am digging into the starting L/U released i’m leaning towards both pitchers.

    Sharks (2019 #‘s) vs Colorado L/U today…… .094 BA 1 HR 3 BB 9 SO
    Marquez (2019 #‘s) vs SF L/U today……. .133 BA 1HR 1 BB 6 SO

Not sure :/ not seeing anything either except dk has Marquez listed for the late

    They fixed it now…my bad

I’m playing five Rockies bats and just hoping I get the CPT correct. That’s my method on showdown which I’m not very good at.

  • RatedDAL

One of these starts vs the Yanks, Snell will pay off. Maybe he can even make it out of the first this time.

You can get big bats without having to play Norris. Especially Norris and Musgrove in the same lineup.

Lots of pitchers I’ll be rotating in tonight. Musgrove is one of them, yet he concerns me. I’ll use some Norris (not much), yet I can see Norris giving a big negative score as well.

IMO…The move is to pick 3 or 4 offenses, a handful of punt hitters, and rotate your pitching combos. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, you don’t need Musgrove/Norris to go big. That leaves 5K per bat, which is over the top. There’s only 15 bats 5K or more on the slate. The mid-tier is just bad is all. Actually, is there even a mid-tier? I can’t help but look at it and see either go cheap or pay up. I’m sure I’ll do a little bit of everything.

Just really hard to go with Mikolas, Canning, Eflin, Hendricks, Thornton based on price match up, as far as mid-tier.

Porcello is a hard pass for me. He’ll be chalk. Has been bad all year. Can’t get lefties out. Jays have some decent history against him. Just don’t see it.

Rodriguez, Chi Chi. No way. Houser has shown no upside. Not messing with Astros pitching.

Plutko is OK based on match-up, but cheap Tigers seems more realistic. I’ll probably be split here.

That leaves Paxton, Snell, Castillo, Giolito, Musgrove. Fried, Junis, Norris, and Kershaw, and to an extent Plutko.

Norris and Musgrove outscoring Fried, Junis, and Plutko shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Snell is facing the Yankees. Paxton is tilt-city. Gio may be fraudulent. Kershaw doesn’t have ace K upside. Castillo is 11.8K facing the cubs in Wrigley with warm air and the wind blowing out at 14 MPH.

To save paper 🤔, I won’t quote the whole post. Nice GIF 👍, gave me a chuckle.

Musgrove is perpetually underpriced, yet I’m always wary to go heavy on a player who’s already been beaten up by the team he’s facing. It won’t scare me off him, yet I can’t go heavy, in case it’s a thing.

The oddsmakers are putting me off Norris and onto some Cleveland bats, even though the history for Norris, especially at that price, is solid. Still, feels like DK is just begging me to roster him and soon to be -10.

Those above pitchers you mentioned will likely be part of my rotation, I’m just not excited about any of them. I will give Mikolas and his sh#tty K rate a shot here, as he’s good at home and maybe he can deliver one of those 7IP 5k 1er performances. Still not exciting. Don’t think I’ll be above 20% on any arm.

Feels like the hitting is more predictable tonight.🤷‍♂️

Good thing I didn’t follow the Numbers, I tend to go all bats with high implied. Which at last minute I did….

I’m leaning Gio/Plutko for my DK single bullet. The Awesomo podcast projects Juno’s at 20% ownership and Plutko at 5%. I like Musgrove, but I guess the weather is more than iffy? Devers is my favorite bat tonight. I like the Reds, but they are so cheap they might go over-owner, although it will be hard to resist Votto at $3,400.

  • realphipps

I’m heavy on Braves bats tonight.

  • yisman

Wondering if anything tonight will be crazier than Marquez giving up 11 hits and 11 runs (while only recording 8 outs) with Samardzija going 5 innings (and counting) of 1 hit shutout ball
