Seems to be a difficult early slate to figure out.

  • rvnfn77

Early slate pitching seems to be a dumpster fire again today.

Pitching: Gray (Cubs lefty heavy), Archer, Homer
    Bats: Twins, Mil, Col

    Nelly Cruz owns Vargas

Pitching: S Gray good history vs Cubs, wind at least not blowing out. Darvish against RHB heavy CIN lineup, J Gray has actually pitched better at home (and do we think SF keeps this up?), Keuchel pitching well and not a particularly scary looking MIL lineup, Martin Perez probably cheapest I’ll go

Bats: PIT looks interesting…. STL – which Archer split do we believe? vs RHBs (STL has 7 in lineup) or his 7+ road ERA? Great hitting weather in STL. OAK/MIN/COL obvious matchups. Like all the ATL RHBs vs. Chase…. not trusting Bailey vs. all those SEA LHBs.

I don’t think you can pay for pitching on this slate on DK. These guys aren’t priced up, because they’re worth that price. They’re priced up because DK isn’t going to have a slate with every pitcher below 8K. Darvish, Archer, S. Gray are all more likely to end up in the 13-18 range then the 25-30 range. I’ll take my chances with Perez, Bailey, and Anderson getting 13.

Keuchel, J. Gray are whatever. Ponce De Leon, huh? 9.6K?

I ended up going Perez (that Mets LU today) and Homer. Waaaay too many good bats today. Question: Puig, Rosario or Cain? I already have 3 Twins and 2 Brewers.

Don’t get me wrong, those guys have the upside to be worth it, but it’s a hard fit too. I’ve been able to get to Darvish and Archer if I use Bailey and Anderson as SP2’s, and a couple cheaper bats. Hard to not load up on Rockies and Twins though as at least part of a line up. Personally, like the Cardinals more than Archer, but nothing would surprise me there.

I’d go Cain, just because you already have 2 Brewers and he’s leading off and been hitting the ball well since the break.

i hate it today….garver is obvious but so expensive. Posey’s been hot lately, but 3-14 vs. J Gray. Narvaez vs. Bailey interesting but he hit 2 HRs last night so that’s typically an autofade for me next day. Phegley vs. Milone and Stallings from PIT look like best cheap options. Hard to tell with so many lineups not out yet.

after looking at the reality of DK pricing, I’ve convinced myself to be 100% chase anderson and 75% homer bailey, also using keuchel and perez. 5 lineups.

Yup. Don’t like it but the slate leaves no choice (aside from fading 100 degree Coors which seems like bankroll suicide).

    Yep…Darvish/Perez/Chase for me today.

Homer was on my short list but Cashner got crushed in his BOS debut last night so I’m a little weary of Homer’s OAK debut today, although the price tag is nice…

  • 7klub06

    Can coors be faded?
