    Best record in the league.

Went to the WS last 2 years.

I’m sure you could find worse.

Another main slate of terrible pitching on DK…. $11k for 5 IP from Snell? Think Lynn Ks 10 Astros again for $10.5k? Flip a coin on Paxton? Only $8.5K for Flaherty and his 5.96 road ERA?

Hendricks appears to be the “safest” pt/$ play on DK. Pineda has been pitching well lately. DeSclafani is in play vs. a bunch of RHBs for STL. I might take a flyer on Marquez’s talen since he’s priced down in a tough matchup. Waguespack could deliver some Ks vs. DET. Heck, I might take a flyer on Drew Smyly because why not?

Not sure about Descal being in play.

High total, bad BVP, hitter’s park and his hard contact is up. I will have more Reds bats, but will have a couple game stacks.

Yeah, it’s bad. I’m also suffering from awful results the last 2 days. Thinking about just skipping this slate then trying to sort it out.

Looks though like Snell, Wags, DeSclafani, Armenteros, Hendricks is where I’d be looking. Not sure if I could dig anything else up.

I wouldn’t consider that baby sample bad BVP.

Everybody except the White Sox and Padres have a high projected total. That’s baseball now. Teams are never projected for less than 4 runs anymore, except when elite pitchers face poor offenses.

I imagine Armenteros will be popular due to what Urquidy did last night. But I’m feeling more apt to take the other side of that with TEX bats. Of course, assuming BOS bats will be 30%+ owned again, nothing will matter if they go off.

Maybe. He’s 2 K more and lacks the K-rate, but certainly possible. Especially with what the slate has to offer. If he were to be chalk it would change my opinion.

Ugh, I’ve faded Boston all week and have been fine, until yesterday. I played 20 line ups last night and cashed 1, which was my lone Sox stack. They were so highly owned you literally couldn’t cash without them it seemed. No one else came close to matching their production. Here they are again facing a below average pitcher and bound to be chalk. I guess the difference today is there’s so many gas cans on the mound that even if they go off it’s likely you can find multiple stacks who can match them.

it’s really 3 guys who have done most of the damage and Carpenter/Ozuna won’t be in the lineup. I guess Bader is also 5-7 off him if you want to include that. He’s still posting a 26%+ K rate vs. RHBs (which are likely to comprise 6 of 9 lineup spots for STL) and a .283 home wOBA vs. RHBs (.309 career). His average line at home this year is like 5 IP, 5 H, 2 BB, 3 ER, 5 Ks. That’s an 11 DK pt baseline, a W gets you to 15, and there’s 20 pt upside if he can go like 6 IP, 1-2 ER and 7 Ks. And yes, there’s negative point downside.

I’m not trying to say DeSclafani is an awesome pitcher, but look at your alternatives today

    I like Descla…monitoring the weather.

Cal Quantrill 6600 following an opener with a 17 mph wind blowing in Wrigley is interesting.

  • superjon

Dario Agrazal if you want to really be different.

Doesn’t have great #‘s, but he has pitched 6 innings in each of his last 3 games.

    Only 6.3 on FD.

  • ASitar

Im leaning Lynn/Cashner (yes, THAT Cashner). He’s actullay very cheap given his last few starts and he’s going to go under the radar. Thinking Oakland bats, maybe a Yankee stack.

  • realphipps

Anyone know much about this kid pitching for DET? Trying to find some #s now.

Slightly above average minor league pitcher. Can be a legit MLB long reliever, but again that’s probably as good as he is, which is nothing special. Average strikeout stuff. Made a big league start on 7/3 that went well, but that was the White Sox. Of course, this is the Blue Jays. Wouldn’t be surprised by any result.

  • wpatrigo

I’m going back to the well today with Boston. Rangers will be my only other stack.

  • FSG22

    Stack Yankees

  • monarch

Alexander should be more popular than he deserves to be with Snell and Red Sox on this slate.

I will make one stack against him whenever this Jays LU comes up. He appears to live in the strike zone…good K’s but gives up a lot. Has been pitching better in the minors of late and the Blue Jays are weaker against LHP but Gurriel is a masher and the total is really high and not coming down.

Edit: LU out…I’ll probably go Sogard, Galvis, Lourdes and Teoscar.

Vlad is always popular but he has not been good vs LHP

Worst manager with the best players in the league. Players win in spite of bone head Roberts.

Gotcha…but what does any of your posts today have anything to do with today’s slate?

Start a new Dave Roberts thread so those that care can get your hot takes.

  • Njsum1

    I like Snell and Armenteros.

I like Waguespack and Descalfani, yet they have hitters umpires. Not sure how much weight to put into that though 🤷‍♂️ Still don’t mind them, they could be solid, yet I like having at least a neutral ump to feel confident. Upside still there.

Edit…very small sample size for Waguespack ump

  • wpatrigo

The ultimate punt is available as rangel ravelo, batting 3rd for stl at 2000. Not a lefty, though.
