Not gonna lie, I’m very tempted by Bundy tonight.

I’m on an equally slippery slope with Vargas 🙈

I’d rather play King Kong than Dylan Bundy

  • frugal

Bundy really? I have more interest in ARI bats than Bundy.

  • ripking

If you could pick a stl one off against archer who would it be? I’m taking a chance on o’neal

Just now looking at things…anyone like Milone vs TEX? TEX has been falling apart, allows the most strikeouts per games in the the MLB, and haven’t hit left handers very well this season. He already had 2 good outings vs them, think I’m going to lock him in.

Am I the only one concerned about Covey’s pitch count?

I like Bundy a bit too.

I don’t think any of us know how good Lambert is or isn’t. I think he’s really interesting. 7 starts, only 2 outside of Coors. One was his debut, which was dominant. The 2nd was against the Dodgers, which is always tough, not that the Nats aren’t. His two road starts he combines for a 3.70 xFIP and a 20% K-rate. Not bad for a 4.6K pitcher. Miniscule sample size though.

Really like Kelly and Milone as direct pivots off Archer, who I’m not at all sold on. I don’t buy the upside, versus his risk, vesus his chalkiness. Although, I’m sure I’ll have some I’ll just be way underweight.

Yeah, not so much bad, as not helpful.

Sale has an awful ump by the way. Bauer has a great ump, so conversely Sanchez does too. Interesting there. Darvish/Bumgarner also have a great ump, while Roark/Davies do not. Everyone else is basically in between.

This is what I’m looking at by the way, so everyone knows I’m not just pulling junk out from nowhere.

And, I already know Darvish and Bums ump is Vic Carapazza, whose percentages you can find there, they’re just not highlighted currently, as it’s not “official.”

  • mr_papageorgio

Right now I have Bundy and Archer. There’s not enough alcohol on the planet for this slate.

You should also look at recently..imo. Some pitchers got big games with Dreckman (Archer) calling it. Overall (Career) he’s neutral, yet his k9 is up this year.

Descalfani had a bad ump last time out, yet he had his most K’s of the season. Unless it’s extreme I try not to put too much weight on it for a pitcher in an otherwise good matchup.

If Archer has a bad outing it’s likely because he getting hit or he can’t find the zone. If anything the ump should help ever so slightly.

Agree. Not implying anyone should take it too heavily. I think I’ve said before, not that I expect anyone to keep up with all my posts, but I only really let umps decide anything if I’m on the fence. Like Kelly actually has a really good ump, I liked him already, but this puts a bit more confidence in it and might lead to me upping my exposure a bit. especially in comparison to Archer.

You like a pitcher. He has a good ump. Why not go 100%? Why water down your lineups with multiple pitchers when the guy you like will likely be your highest scoring pitcher. Plus, we saw bum pitchers take down multiple tournaments yesterday. I don’t think pitching is as important. We need to find the double dongs.

Well, if I go ahead and make 40 line ups, which is my plan, going 100% on something as vital as a pitcher, especially a mid-range priced one on DK, to a line up is crazy to me. I have no issue going heavy or near 100% on players in certain situations, but this isn’t it. That’s more of an NBA thing to me. Baseball has way too much variance. I have no issue going 60-70% on someone in MLB though.

Yeah I was kind of kidding, but I only play one pitcher. Maybe that’s why I only play one pitcher because I play way more nba. Today I’m going Kyle Gibson. If he can make it past the 5th I’m golden. But, he usually gets blown up then. I would love to see his career ERA innings 1-4. I’m sure he would have some sort of record.

Dallas Keuchel? Not exciting but great umpire no DH for the Royals and huge favorite for 7200. Most likely getting 100 pitches from Keuchel and the Royals are among the worst at pitches/plate appearance

Bundy just came off IL, hasn’t K’d more than 8 in a game all year (vs Det, TB, Sea, Tor, SD to name a few) vs teams that K much more than Ari does. I’ll take the under

There seems to be a lack of Braves love tonight despite them being in a pretty good spot.
