Looks like Verlander is the early lock to me but I do love how Cleveland is a -200+ favorite even with undecided as their starter.

Thanks for posting this actually. Made me realize I had a couple sets of starters in the wrong place. Now it’s fixed.

Is anyone else playing the DK Sportsbook special on All Star to hit a Home Run on 7/23 & 7/24?

I tried to when it came up but I was getting an error where it would only give me -10000 odds not +100.

I mean it’s not a complete lay-up (they once had a promo where an Indiana basketball game’s total score had to be like 71) but it’s a top 5 promo they’ve put up over the last year. May as well take it.

    Edit – it’s fixed, I got my $25 in

    Nice. I like that one.

I was just looking at the projected lineups and here are the stacks that stuck out to me in general.

Yankees – this is a “well duh” situation. We can move on. The rest of the division I think is a bit underwhelming at the plate.

Royals – I think this is a really good under the radar stack. Merrifield-Mondesi-Dozier-Solar-Perez is a top 5 that can rake, shouldn’t be that expensive and will go criminally under owned because DFS players hate middle America fly over teams.

    Twins – Obvious

White Sox – wow, I forgot Encarnacion was on this team. They can really generate offense. 1-9 all stacks are in play at the right price.

Angels – looks good on paper, I’m a bit skeptical due to injuries and Trout possibly opting out. You also get high ownership concerns.

    Astros – 🗑

A’s – 1-4 is lights out. I took Khris Davis at +15000 to win MVP.

Braves – as good a 1-3 as their is in baseball but the lineup depth seems to limit the stack options

Mets – the Mets go at least 6 deep on offense. Under the radar WS contender. I got Pete Alonso for NL MVP. Also, this makes me feel dirty.

Nats – you can stack 1-7 in any order and have a chance.

Phils – first, go Phils! Now that that’s out of the way, the Phillies can also be stacked 1-7 in any order like the Nats. The NL East is loaded.

Cubs – Good on paper but they strike me as the NL version of the Angels where their best players will be owned more than they should be due to popularity.

D-Backs – surprisingly good 1-5 … no one will stack D-Backs. Might be a good spot.

Dodgers – Good lord that’s a lot of talent. Stack em all at 40% ownership and min cash with the rest of us!

Padres – could be sneaky good and 1-3 should be in play at minimum.

Rockies – 1-5 is in play even if Daniel Murphy might be declining. Top 4 is great though. Obvious ownership concerns though.

In retrospect I think the teams that will offer the most bang for your buck will be Kansas City and Arizona who no one will own, and CWS and A’s as medium ownership high value stacks.

The biggest ownership will be Yankees and Dodgers with NYY leading the way due to east coast bias with the NL East in general just being a blood bath where someone will score double digits every other day.

Soooo, stack virtually every game. Got it!

As of now I’m stacking the shit out of Tex/Col with a loooot of Dodgers/Red Sox mixed in. Looking like it could be LeBlanc or Milone pitching for the O’s…only thing is Boston’s lineup is not what it was the last few years so I’ll need to see the lineup first.

Pitching – Liking Montas and Paddack the most…for now

Guys I’m looking at on FD for 2200 and less:
    C. Davis
    D. Stewart
    W. Flores
    J. Bruce

    Any other cheapies out there?

I haven’t looked over FD yet but I can say for certain that Jay Bruce is going to be an integral part of the Phillies this year. If he’s anywhere near minimum priced he should be a lock start against even the best pitchers.

Toronto will be playing in Pittsburgh this year

Luis Robert not too far off at $2300.

So does anyone know how DK and FD will treat rainouts that do not reach the 5th inning? According to MLB, those games will not be re-scheduled but would be resumed.

Not sure if things have changed but I believe you get big fat zeros in that case.

I like a Padres stack against a washed MadBum. Machado and Myers are pretty inexpensive

Doing my research for season long arguably my biggest revelation was that washed Madbum isn’t washed.

He’s not an ace by any stretch but he’s only 30 years old, and is coming off a season where he had a 3.90 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP. He also averaged 8.8Ks per 9 and only 1.9BB per 9.

There is nothing washed about these numbers. They aren’t gonna win a Cy Young but he’d be the number 2 starter on 25 staffs minimum.

Washed might be a stretch, but IMO he’s far more mediocre than people realize. 4.31xFIP likely get’s exploited in Arizona versus a pitcher’s heaven in San Fran

  • JTAx33

I’m liking Eovaldi quite a bit. Elbow is cleaned up, shortened season should favor the big fastball starters that can unleash for two months, and he gets Baltimore.

Definitely see where you’re coming from. I was actually viewing it thinking “wow, he’s not as washed as people think” 🤣

I am tremendously excited for baseball to be back!

I wish Cincy was on the main slate. I would have been all over Gray vs Detroit.

I don’t hold much interest for the Thursday night slate. Two game slates just aren’t my thing. Too much riding on a contrarian play because ownership is everything.

I am curious to see how Stripling shakes out. 7900 on DK means you can pair him with a stud and have lots of money left over for some nice stacks.
