Who y’all like in the DK Main? I got Lucchessi/Vargas + 2 Royals, 2 Padres, Taucan and Xander as ky only Red Sox bat

Actually, if you’re playing Vargas as an ownership play only, I get it. I don’t fully expect it to end well, but is probably worth a shot. Just looked at ownership projections and wasn’t expecting Vargas to one of the lower owned pitchers and D-backs to be one of the highest owned offenses.

Gurriel could have had a 60 DK game today.

I’m stacking one of the Red Sox, Yankees, or Brewers. Brewers seem like the best value but that game feels like one of those 4-2, useless from a DFS standpoint kind of games. I do like Pomeranz against the Pirates though.

Your a Pirates guy, right? Williams seemed to be turning the corner and then got BABIP’d to hell by the Mets in his last start. No Yelich. Small sample, but Thames and Braun haven’t been able to hit him. Thinking of using him.

I understand Pom, but concerned about pitch count, big time.

I just don’t like to stack against decent pitchers. This year Vargas is a decent pitcher. Meaning I wouldn’t core the Dbacks, yet I would play them. I also don’t play mediocre/decent lefties versus the dbacks. Feels like 4 to 6 runs for the dbacks.

Yeah I am. Pom isn’t stretched out which I forgot about so I crossed him off the list. Williams is better at home and is pretty much the definition of serviceable but I can’t trust him against all those lefties. Like I said I don’t really think he gets blown up but I also don’t see him racking up a ton of Ks/points (though I also didn’t expect Fried to do that this afternoon so what do I know).

I don’t mind having some Williams exposure but I think you’d be better finding an extra $1k in salary to get up to Lucchesi (or Paxton if you can find the money).

I think I’m going Sox tonight. Road Sparkman = Sparks flying for the offense.

Yeah, I’m just looking for double digits. First build is Williams/Means-5 BoSox. I’ll probably do a few builds like that actually. I don’t think any pitcher tonight puts up a big number. If I can find 25-30 from Williams/Means and find all those big bats with all this mediocre pitching tonight I’m hoping that gets me ahead.

I like it. I went (gulp) Paxton and (double gulp) Kikuchi with 5 Sox. Padres haven’t seen him so I’m hoping he can sneak attack his way to 15 points. Mostly playing Paxton because I’m a sucker for a good K rate and I hate money.

One of these days that burning hatred for Vargas will payoff! Though I think the more hatred spewed his way, the better he pitches. I think I will roster him until the consensus is that he is going to pitch a great game and put up 35 DK points.

I have no affiliations with said Vargas, he is not a relative or acquaintance of mine. I am just going by what I see on this board everytime he pitches!!

Funny you say that because I dropped Vargas to Means and added Marte/Escobar/Walker and took out my 2 Padres that are prob chalk anyways. JD my only Red Sox bat and hoping Villar has one of his 30 DK point games in a position with Bogaerts, Tatis and Didi. Royals catcher.

I have been asking myself that for the last couple of hours. Down to an hour + to figure it out.

I can’t stand the options, but someone has to not suck right? Maybe this little humpday late slate is more about not picking the complete AYDS pitchers and hitting on the bats. I mean maybe Eddie Fraud pitches solid for Boston vs. KC, but I’m not holding my breath.

I want to go Gallen and load up against VARGAS, but that probably won’t be ideal and I’m sure everyone max-entering will have all those bases covered.

It’s kinda down to E-FRAUD; Luchessi and Gallen for me — maybe PAXTON/T. WILLIAMS???

    It’s truly ugly…..

Anyone have a good source for weather? I use weatheredge here but sometimes looking for an afternoon update before the late forecast on weather edge comes out.

  • hcassidy

Well I’ve been arctic freeze lately but went Gallen and Paxton and yet got the bats I wanted from the Pirates/Brewers game.

  • hcassidy

And Tatis goes yard, only Padre in Meyers just K’d

  • ASitar

Fuck, switched out Tatis. Go to Vegas for a few days and stop playing DFS and ow I’m back in a state where I can play and I just throw a LU together and tinker too much 15 min prior to lock.

UNLESS the REAPER stacks the Padres!!
Even a HR serving pitcher can succeed with the reaper helping him out!
