Anyone playing the all star showdowns on fan duel and/or DK? Been browsing the web and not finding much info on them. Anyone have any thoughts?

Probably doing one to keep my achievements going. Currently I have all hitters, with acuna as captain.

What’s the strategy here? Take all hitters? avoid guys who played in the HR derby?

are you sure this game counts towards achievements?

My guess is he comes in at 3rd and maybe plays OF a bit as well. I feel like Arenado comes out a lot when a righty comes in so KB replaces him, Muncy gets an inning or 2 with KB finishing in the OF. I think it may be key to have some bench guys that can play multiple spots.

I thought I read the late innings they were going to start with a man on 2nd like in the minors to avoid extra innings. Maybe Im wrong and she look that info up again? Would take away those possible extra inning AB’s.

Remember it’s the juiced ball era, and remember they hit 10 HRs in last year’s all star game. Pitchers made more sense in last year’s format (all RPs got bonus), but I don’t see any pitcher really a must play this year.

I was in 2nd place last year and going to win with one out left until scooter hit bomb and shit went off in extra innings. Homer’s from last year were misleading. Your 2 starters from last year are 10x then this years guys trust me…

are any position players NOT playing tonight? if already posted sorry i missed it

  • tonytone1908

So yes, it appears starting in the 9th inning, if they game is tied they will start with a man on 2nd. Anyone know exactly how that works? Would it be the next man up, losing an AB, or the last man up is the one on 2nd and the next batter up is still the next batter up? More than likely this eliminates any chance of going past 10 innings. I still feel like late game guys are key.

Not any that I know of

From the Rays beat writer on twitter

Hearing #Rays Meadows slated for decent amount of playing time tonight in All-Star Game, going into LF in 3rd or 4th inning and finishing game in RF

  • keke1021

which beat writer had that on Meadows?

Last out of the inning prior.

Say the last out was a man caught stealing? Does he go to 2nd next inning or the last batter? I’m sure for showdown purposes it’s not critical info, just curious for my own mind.

It’s the previous guy in the lineup. So I guess that would be the case.

“The automatic runner will be the player who made the last out of the previous inning.”

If you were caught stealing you made the last out.

I would be okay with this

Is yelich back injury real or fake just think he could be real low owned after skipping the HR contest with a back injury then smack one of the lead golf balls there making verlander use out of the park.

  • keke1021

how many pitchers you guys think is optimal in gpps?

If the last out was the guy stealing then the hitter never made an out and is leading off the next inning.
