One of the most peculiar games I ever watched. Like seeing the Jays pull it off. Would not want my Cubbies to have to play them at Wrigley if it came down to that.

I guess I have been spoiled all these years watching LAD baseball where Vin Scully spends more time retailing in days past than the game itself. The last two years — due to DFS — is where I have made more effort to watch games outside the market and had never heard that scored before until the announcers pointed it out.

The home run was an earned run…There were 3 runners (all unearned) on when hamels went out. Donaldson FC rbi was 1 unearned for Hamels with Dyson Pitching. Bautista 3 run dong was then 2 unearned for Hamels with Dyson pitching and 1 earned run (joey bats) for Dyson.

That is where the confusion comes from because the announcers stated Bautista’s homerun went unearned because it happened after what should have been the third out, as winsome also mentioned. That’s what I was referencing. I realize the two runners on went unearned since they reached on errors, I had just never heard of a home run going unearned due to the batter having an at bat that should not have occurred due to 3 previous errors that should have resulted in outs.

Pretty typical for any Dallas sports team.

No, it really wasn’t. The Rangers were undone by a single player, in Elvis Andrus, and were only up 1 run in the Bottom of the 7th against a brutally tough lineup on the road. The Astros were up 4 runs, at home, to an inferior lineup, and completely fell apart. IMO, there is no comparison between the two. The Astros collapse was easily far, far worse.

By what measure?

Sorry but I completely disagree. This was a mlb team that completely fell apart from the pressure of the post season. Really everyone of those plays was a error leading up to that home run. I honestly don’t think Toronto wins that game if not for all those errors. I mean it looked exactly like the first two games of the series up until the defensive meltdown. Also do you even watch baseball? How the hell can you call KC a inferior lineup? They are the best all around lineup in the majors and are much harder to get outs against then any other team. They might not be great for fantasy but in real life they are very good.

Also, do you even watch baseball? no never have before, didn’t know that. sigh

The Royals lineup from 7-8-9 is actually better than the Blue Jays right now.

Alex Rios is becoming comfortable at the plate and Ryan Goins is Ryan Goins!!

No one can doubt 1-6 but some of these games come down to the lower half of the batting order and the Royals have that.
