Presently, I’m a low dollar high volume cash game guy on FD. I don’t use scripts and only play 1 to 4 lineups in low dollar GPPs on a given night. Tonight I had $11 entered into GPPs. I think of myself as a bhdevault jr., I play 95% cash games and throw 5% into the low dollar GPPs. I never go over 5% of my bankroll in a given night, so I’m rather conservative. I’ve slowly turned a $15 deposit into just under 5k in NBA since April 2014 winning the Dribbler (when it was only 2200 entries) within a month of playing and hitting a Mini-Swat or Mini-Shot here and there to help the bankroll some. Tonight, though, I had a night much as bhdevault did last year when I scored big time (for a small stakes guy). I won the Dribbler, Swat x3 (same lineup entered 3 times), Block, and came in 3rd in the Shot (thanks to Blake sitting the 4th quarter or I would have won that too).

This site is my primary source of info. Love the articles, daily tweets, daily e-mail alerts, and the people (most of them) on the forums whom I interact with on a daily basis. I watch/listen to Brit, Gabey, RadThad, EddieFear (what a great addition and the sole reason I took Sullinger tonight), Dean, St. LouisCards, E-Mac, Jeff El Jeffe, and DraftCheat just about every single day and am grateful for the info and entertainment they provide. A special shout out to bhdevault due to the daily NBA thread and the person I model my bankroll management after. Also a shout out to chronoxiong whom really helped me get started on the forums a couple of years back and as my daily competition (he is in most of my daily cash games). I just wanted to thank Rotogrinders for everything because there is no way in hell I would be nearly as successful as I’ve been without it. Sorry for the long winded thread but I’m giddy lol!

As an aside my cash game lineup was the lineup that won those tourneys…my advice is to always enter your main cash game lineup into at least one low dollar tourney in case it hits. As you can see that lineup has cash game written all over it lol. Also glad I hit before anything else possibly gets shutdown :)

very nice that will definitely help the bankroll. Do you plan on upping your stakes now and playing in the higher entry tournies as your 5%?

I was just thinking of that…lol. I am very comfortable where my volume is at now (about $200-$250/night), most of which is cash games. I’ll probably withdraw everything I won tonight and keep at my present pace. I’m not really a tourney guy, although I may throw my cash game lineup into the Slam a couple of times per week. I think this was the result of being “hot”. I’ve placed in the top 100 or so in a few low dollar tourneys over the last week, top 10 in two Late Night Swats this week, and kinda just kept going. I ended up 9th tonight in the After Hours Swat with AD…just one of those “hot” days/weeks I guess. Interestingly, I don’t normally play anything over a 10 game slate, I just really liked my lineup so I went with it. Also, I usually only play the late slates on Friday because my daughter has basketball games every Friday at 7…they were off tonight due to Thanksgiving break.

well its a nice payday regardless. Very nice wins.

    Thank You!

Once again, congrats. I’m glad to have at least helped someone here in RG out in how to win consistently in NBA. I’m still looking for my #1 or top 3 finish in NBA though. I’ve always gotten close, but not top 3. Would love to hit that on all GPPs I enter in the same night. That’s my goal. But yeah, enjoy your new roll. Withdraw some and use it. You deserve it!

Very very cool! Thanks for the shout out, although I must say, your score was MUCH better than mine!

Might I suggest keeping some in your bankroll though, and keep pushing? I bought myself and my wife plenty of gifts over the past year, while steadily increasing my bankroll. You will get more and more comfortable playing for a higher amount, but it takes time, lol.

    Kudos, sir!

P.S. Now pattern yourself after one of the big time cash players, such as Hoop2410!

Ya I made the mistake of not entering my cash game lineup into a tourney, 389 pts. Live and learn I suppose, congratulations though bud.

    Awesome. Congrats.

Well done, congrats on the great night, I finished 5th in the shot and u flew right by me! Also took 1,2, and 3rd in a mini with 3 different linups and the only 3 I played in it. It was a good night!

I think I finally earned the “I need to use the computer” line I throw at the wife and kids every day during the NBA season at 6pm when I kick one of them off of it…maybe they’ll quit arguing with me now lol and immediately let me on. Maybe…

They’ve been keeping me busy. I do read the forums daily though and am always available to talk! Definitely been a good NFL season for me so I can’t complain.
