Right, but the stated time is still 1PM

So basically NASCAR is screwing all their paying fans over by not doing the right thing and running tonight. Typical behavior. Attendance tomorrow will be dismal.

yeah, so 1 PM EDT Sunday

I would have much rather them race tonight even if it was 1am lol … I am hearing the same thing about storm chances tomorrow about the same … I am worried a little about Nascars propensity to start a race even when inclement weather is imminent and they start it or run half and then delay … I really hope we just get a window for a full race or just delay it until it clears, dry the track and run em tomorrow night.

Well honestly not running the race at 1am is an insult to every fan who bought a ticket to that race.

It shows Nascar is more worried about running the race at a time NBC likes than at running the race at the most convenient time for their fans.

Now everyone that is at the track who works on Monday has to decide if it is really worth sticking around all day Sunday. I’ve always been of the opinion a race should be run as soon as possible to help out fans at the track who paid to see the event. Nascar can survive without a TV contact but not without fans at the tracks.

Sounds about right. A lot of people thought if they did not race tonight it would be 10am tomorrow. The first thing I saw mentioned about the race officially being at 1PM ET is good for Nascar since it will not be H2H with the US Womens National Team which is tomorrow at … guess what … 11am ET.

  • mambaland

Nothing safer than drivers who have been up 18 hours going 200mph

  • depalma13

I was there yesterday. The place was empty. Everyone knew it would be postponed at 1pm yesterday.

  • starstx

If they started at 11am today … track is sunny and dry. Temps a little cooler. Better chance to get a full race in.

They just moved the race up from 1:22 to 1:04 ET. Really hope we do not get a broken up race by rain delays.

61% chance of rain today not sure what time and drops to 25% chance tonight. Race has to get to 100 laps to be official. They cant start a race after 11:30pm due to Daytona Beach curfew.

    We shall see what happens.

  • Moszman

    Rolling, let’s hope no rain.

  • tristanwolf

how could more cars not stay out there? you could see the weather rolling in. justin haley gonna get a win 😂

  • starstx

This is crazy … KB told 1 to go before green … pits … and then red flags it and Haley takes 1st. Race is a big lotto ticket.

  • hautalak

And I forgot the golden rule… leave money on the table!!!

Oh yeah lol … I got a bunch of lineups with 5k to 8500 leftover and still only have a few unscathed. Haley was one of the back of the pack guys I did not have though lol doh!

Nah … It is all a lotto ticket … I left a ton on the table … played a lot of guys in the back and still only have a couple of lineups without someone wrecked out. That BIG ONE damn near took out everyone too

  • starstx

I just could not imagine being the guy sitting on 50k with that lineup praying they call this race. Might be the luckiest guy ever with that Kurt Busch pit if they call this race

  • yisman

of my 18 lineups, only like 4 or 5 are cashing

best lineup is projected to cash for $20 on FD. wallace, JJ, Gaughan, newman, menard

  • yisman

lightning spotted, so clock restarts and now it’ll be at least 30 minutes away

I am in the same boat. Same number of lineups and ones cashing. Looking to lose half. Need the race to restart and my 2 full lineups to move up where they are at to have a shot at making this a wash.

  • yisman

Haley doing his rain dance and it’s working. Pouring at the track, as the leaderboard is a bunch of scrubs, many of whom would get their career-best finish if racing does not resume.
