Haven’t seen any articles pertaining much to strategy on RG, as opposed to the legality, so I figured I’d start things off. This will be the first time I will watch a Nascar race from start to finish, and kind of looking forward to it. Looking for some direction on where to start research, i.e websites, podcasts etc.

I would think it would be hard to start doing too much research before you see how qualifying plays out. That is going to make up a large part of scoring every week.

This site has a pretty good database of statistics: http://www.driveraverages.com/

Also there are a couple of drivers that have a baby on the way, so turn left cautiously

Where can I get stats on the last 5 seasons of the right front tire pit guy for each team?

i know nothing.. put in a 25 cent tourney and just picked the best valued drivers with good fantasy points per week/event.

http://racing-reference.info/ is the quickest and most efficient site to use for stats, but http://www.driveraverages.com/ has track type specific stats. Also, Jayski.com is a great site for NASCAR news.

Not necessarily a bad strategy, but you really will get a lot out of practice and qualifying. Especially with the mid to lower tier guys.
