The first race is an invitation-only contest with just 24 drivers, but DK is counting it. Thus am I.

Tuesday, Feb. 9: 43rd Annual Busch Clash At DAYTONA (DAYTONA Road Course under the lights)
Wednesday, Feb. 10: DAYTONA 500 Qualifying Presented By Kroger
Thursday, Feb. 11: Duel At DAYTONA qualifying races
Friday, Feb. 12: NextEra Energy 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race
Saturday, Feb. 13: Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner. 300 (NASCAR Xfinity Series) and Lucas Oil 200
Sunday, Feb. 14: DAYTONA 500, The Great American Race.

I also have Jones, Truex and Grala, but am still cashing with Denny, Brad and Ross doing pretty good.

  • Steverino01

Grala getting 30 points (DK) ain’t bad if you think about it. Who knew he would have 10 laps led and have 4 fastest laps, and a top 30 finish???lol

  • Steverino01

Truex is now 7 laps down in 25th place. I predict a top 15 finish for him because another big wreck is coming.

Nevermind. If they are going to just ride around single file for the rest of the race and then wreck on the last lap, Truex has no chance of gaining any spots.

  • Kassdog

I might actually etch out a profit today. Still have to wait for the 3rd to last lap wreck to give me no cashes.

  • Kassdog

I don’t even want to check my draftkings

    Last lap crash. Called it.

  • BIF

    What a finish 😂😂

  • Kassdog

Someone let me know when draftkings finalizes finishes

  • depalma13

Went from winning over $10k to $300.

    Teammates wrecking each other.

  • marker0357

damn lost Logano and Kez on the last wreck. Luckily had McDowell and Hamlin to save my bacon.

  • marker0357

too bad Hamlin finished 4th knocking out that +333 DKSB opportunity.

  • depalma13

    I was in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 10th with no McDowell or Harvick.

    Went to 165, 270, 601, 928, 1186

  • BazookaDad

What a crazy finish,. First time in my life I made lineups for Nascar. Turned 2$ of satellite entries into 731$. Pretty good day! First two nights of NBA have made me several mortgage payments

Yep, I had so much Logano and Keselowski in my lineups. Went from winning big to about breaking even in matter of seconds.

  • ifthethunder

3 of my 8 cashed for $25, 1 for $30 (had Michael McDowell in that one). So that was alright.

Denny Hamlin finishing 5th instead of top 3 cost me my $25 profit-boosted bet (would have paid $108.25). Doh.

Anyways, we have the Daytona Road Course next week. Yee hah!

I got a little back with 4 of 6 who finished. Had Kyle Busch so would have been profitable had he been able to avoid the last crash. What a crazy race and finish. Man I love NASCAR! Already can’t wait til next Sunday! Mikey Freaking McDowell! Unbelievable. He is a dude I like to take for value but was starting mid pack. Unfortunately for me I had too much Reddick and too much DiBendetto

  • factorial89

keselowski had a lot to do with the final wreck

FYI: Daytona 500 Summary. I had planned to post yesterday, but I was too lazy. As we all know the speedway races aren’t the best races to evaluate numbers for trends, patterns, correlations, etc., but they are not totally meaningless either.

Anyways, some of you (very few) have asked for these numbers in the past … so if interested ….

Also, remember to zoom-out to make sure you see everything.

FYI Cup starting lineup. No qualifying. No practice. Per Bob Pockrass the qualifying/starting order “formula is 25% driver finish previous race (as long as driver is entered in same car), 25% owner finish previous race, 35% 2021 owner points, 15% fastest lap ranking previous race. If didn’t compete in previous race, ranking is 41st for fastest lap and finish.”

Based on the qualifying/starting order formula, the randomness of last week’s Daytona 500 has resulted in some serious value throughout the field so expect several of the obvious drivers below to be very heavily owned. I say this, even though as of this writing, DK and FD salaries have not yet been posted. ADDENDUM: Thank God DK at least, has gotten into the habit of not posting driver salaries until after the starting order is determined (I hope this continues). And yes, I believe Daytona 500 salaries were posted early, but I believe that is due to the unique scheduling of Daytona Speedweek, and in particular the qualifying format.

Timmy Hill will be driving the exact same car in every single race of the 2021 Cup season. This will make three consecutive years where Timmy Hill has driven the same 2018 Ford. JK :)

Thanks, gje! Usually I don’t put up a new thread until I see DK post all 3 races. (Not that it’s my jerb or anything, but somebody has to do it…)

    New thread up now.
