The rain may taper off by 6pm. So maybe they get going at 7:30.

You were probably looking at his old ride, the Petty 43 car. It is now driven by Erik Jones.

ah yes, maybe that was it

This is a big front moving through.

I hope Truex can stay in it. Blaney being out is a major swing.

  • depalma13

    Out of the race:

Jones, DiBendetto, Ragan, Blaney, Newman, Suarez and Bowman

  • BazookaDad

If Truex stays in, I have 18 of my 20 lineups still with 5 drivers. If he is out, then I am dead I think.

Only have one lineup with Blaney and one with Jones. I’m such a fish lol

Edit: I’m 100% Hamlin and Truex. Am I screwed?

Byron, Truex, McMurray, Kurt Busch did drive back to pit road. Teams can’t work on them under red flag. Will be on six-minute clock when race resumes.

I used Blaney in my Screaming Eagle lineup. FML.

    I have 13 lineups

    Blaney 8
    Matt Di 1
    Jones 3
    Ragan 0
    Bowman 0
    Suarez 0
    Newman 0

The ones I didn’t have at all were unplayable due to starting position, IMO.

Add Reddick to those hoping to get their cars fixed and back into the race.

with a 6 minute clock for repairs after race resumes, they are more focused on series points. They only become relevant if there is another big accident that takes out a lot more of the field.

is stenhouse still in the race

    for now……..hehehehehehe

  • ifthethunder

Well I am down to 5/6’s in the big contest. The only lineups that didn’t have Ryan Blaney had Erik Jones. Really need a top 3 from Denny Hamlin for my DK Sportsbook bet now.

rain won’t stay away. I suspect this is suspended until tomorrow. Looks like some heavy stuff still to the SW.

  • BigRay

Looks like the rain gets through around 9-9:30 pm. So restart would be around the same time as the clash. but with many more laps to run.

  • marker0357

I’d be surprised. That’s a huge track and it’s really taken a lot of rain already this weekend. I bet it will be at least 2 hours to dry it once it stops raining and they won’t even try if radar doesn’t show a significant opening in the weather.

  • jeffgo33

I feel like this just became a golf slate where you can still cash with 5/6 because the 6/6 percentage is going to be so low with so much race to go.

drivers who are out: Blaney Bowman Newman Suarez Almirola Cope Jones Ragan … teams that are listed having been in the wreck & will at least try to get it fixed but even so might try to do a few caution laps incl DiBenedetto Truex KuBusch McMurray Byron Reddick Buescher Alfredo

  • gje627

Agree with Marker … once it gets dark it will be even harder to dry the track. Why not just wait until the morning to race? The teams really have no place to go this week since they race on the same track, albeit the road coarse, next weekend. It’s not like the teams have to load cars and head to Phoenix, Atlanta, Las Vegas, or California after the Daytona 500 like in previous years.

  • truegrinder

Just delay it to tomorrow already. I have a crazy feeling someone is winning this entire thing with only 5 drivers left at the moment. So many more crashes yet to come……

My only chance. Also agree just wait til tomorrow, don’t be dumb. (Dumb again, as always.)

    funny stuff

rain in the forecast, they start really late (3:10 PM or so), which meant that they wouldn’t have much time to race, but they did it anyway, and raced just long enough to get a huge crash in and that’s it.

Cope never should’ve been in this race. Rather absurd he got in. He’s involved in some team which has a ‘charter’.
