What are your thoughts this week. Normally we expect carnage at restrictor plate tracks. Are we expecting the same this week. The xfinity race seems to not involve as many wrecks as cup.

ford cars have won 8 of last 9 races here

DK finally priced Michael McDowell above 6K, but he’s still probably worth it.

Gaughan at $7600 is pretty soft too.

I think you’re right. I’ll probably make five lineups again, likely use him in a couple.

I’m new to NASCAR this year, so I’m just now reading up on Talladega. And what I’ve read is that you really want place differential points because the chances of the expensive drivers up front getting wrecked are so high.

That’s what I’m reading too. Is it then viable as a large GPP strategy to load up on expensive drivers and fill out with cheap drivers from the back? Is ownership actually lower on the expensive drivers because of the course?

Superspeedways in general are a crapshoot, and Talledega is no exception. Home to “The Big One”, you’re just as likely to have 4 DNFs as 4 that did finish in your lines.

With only 188 laps of racing, dominators score less here and laps led/fastest laps are basically pure luck, imo. Place differential is the place to go, and recent optimal lines, on DK and FD, have left thousands of salary on the table at this track.

I curse myself for burning money at these tracks every season .Yet here I am, sucked in to playing it.

A lot of variance, but I wouldn’t say winning at these tracks are “pure luck”

I agree. But laps led is a volatile market, and fastest laps seems even more so.

I’m still learning Nascar after 3 years of dabbling.

Hi stevie! I listened to your baseball videos a lot. Unfortunately, I never got good at baseball. (I learned to play dimes and get my diamond achievement, tho.)

I’m doing better at LoL and NASCAR, two sports I never even thought about until everything shut down.

is $400 cash left on lineup too little? Ricky wreckhouse and bubba are in the 8-7k range add in bell and Logano and not much salary left…

As you know, I am no expert. But I will have a couple or three lineups with 2 high-priced guys. And two with the pack from the back, which leaves thousands on the table. (I’m sort of hedging since 2+2 does not = 5, but 5 is all I’m willing to commit to this.)

I don’t think stacking the back is gonna work, they can’t all get get there, need 1 from top 15 one from top 25 then back fillers….I think haha

  • depalma13

Well, I just lost all 6 of my drivers. That has to be some record.

Was cashing 7 of 10 with 3 lineups between top 100 and top 300 and got wiped out… I don’t have a single lineup with 6 cars… not sure why I bother with this and MMA…. should prob just stick to PGA and wait for NBA

So I’m a pretty casual DFS Nascar player, I won a ticket to the $20 contest tomorrow.. Just curious as to who the chalk is looking to be? I am trying to avoid having too many chalky guys. Thanks and good luck to all, hopefully we can avoid a ton of mayhem!

The problem with guessing ownership is knowing what the MME guys will do. This big of contest there will be “groups” partnering to have 600 or even 750 lineups. They can cover most all of the combos but will also have tons of terrible lineups that almost make it easier to cash. I just make the best lineup I can that I like and sit back and enjoy.

Also, I got Draftkings to post some satellites for some PGA Milly Makers for anyone interested! Get em while you can!

Preece McDowell Dillion who y’all like in this price range

  • realphipps

My opinion on general chalk: Chris Bell, Ty Dillon, Ryan Preece.

Thanks. Just snagged two. Hopefully, I can’t do worse than this week. Friggen Lowry.

If you are playing one ticket, it really doesn’t matter.

If your 6 drivers make it through the carnage, you are going to win money.

  • monarch

I’ve been doing some research. I’ll stack the back as well and then try and rely on drivers who are better at avoiding the carnage over their careers at Talladega which probably means very little but some drivers have just been better at staying in the race

  • harryfox23

Thanks! Just dropped in a few there too.
