Bogdan at 3.8k on DK looking like he will make a lot of my lineups. 10x upside and even if he puts up 20 he won’t kill you.

  • upgradetoquestionable

This looks like a fun slate after yesterday’s crummy mess.

Wondering if Phoenix can hang with Golden State? Stack there seems juicy if they can.

Lots of goodness in the 5K-6K. Probably going balanced in a bunch today. Westbrook/Harden stack though looks appealing, run it back with some WAS cheaps (Wagner/Bertans/Rui).

    Get PJ before he’s overpriced…

I’d say both Tucker and Washington are both already overpriced.

Who’s gonna be the AD of this slate?

No one. What AD did last night with at least 40 pts, 20 rbs, and 25 ft’s hasn’t been done since Wilt Chamberlain.

DSJ is questionable. Does your projection system have him in with a minutes projection?

I suppose DSJ could play but he has not been with the team since Sunday and he was already falling out of favor. Its Fizdale so who knows.

Hey everyone. I’ve been lurking on the NBA daily thread since Day 1 of the regular season. I’m new to NBA DFS but have been playing each day trying to learn as much as I can. I have always enjoyed NFL DFS, but kept hearing multiple pod-casters express how much they preferred NBA DFS to all the other sports so i’m giving it a go this season.

I have never really watched NBA so on Day 1 of this season I literally could probably only name a handful of guys and what team they were on.

It’s been a steep learning curve in terms of me first trying to get name recognition of players and then trying to piece together who the good players are, value plays etc.

I have pretty much had the same routine each day. Start the day off creating a dummy lineup on my own, and then on my way to work in the morning (45 minute commute) watching a video or two on a couple of first looks for the day (Usually Al Smizzle or Sal Vetri).

Throughout the day I regularly check this thread as well as read some articles on the daily matchups. I end up refining my lineup throughout the day as I stumble across a player or two that I think are strong plays.

On my way home I typically listen to Awesomo podcast for the upcoming games, and then at home before the games start at 7 I check this thread as well as DFS Alerts for any breaking news that may significantly alter my decisions for my roster.

I’ve managed to lose $15 so far on the season, playing $20-$25 a day. So losing about $2 a day on average, which is fine for now, as I’m literally learning everything and that’s not a bad per day cost to gain a lot of experience and knowledge.

Up to this point I’ve only been creating 1 lineup and rolling with that in heads up matches ($1 each), and throwing it into a $5 double up as well. Then I have been entering that lineup in the $4 100k guaranteed tourney each night as well.

The very first day I learned a very very valuable lesson, which was to always put your cash game lineup into a GPP. I played day 1 and went 12-0 in heads up matches and at first was excited, until I started realizing my point total (329.25) was higher than any of the other scores I was seeing anywhere. For a good hour or so I was thinking my lineup would have taken down any of the big tournies had I entered. After doing some research I discovered that I wouldn’t have won any tournies but definitely would have been pretty high up on the boards, so I make sure to enter my lineup in GPPs after that.

Anyway, I was just introducing myself, and perhaps will start posting in here rather than just lurking going forward. With that being said if I provide any kind of thought, take it with a grain of salt because literally 9 days ago I couldn’t even name more than 10 NBA players and the teams they belonged to.

    Kinda like Gasol vs Drummond

  • realphipps

I like Tristan and Oubre early on. Both could easily surpass 7x at their DK prices.

  • jessedio

What’s up with the pricing on FD. Everyone is expensive. Not sure I want to play any Warriors for the simple fact they are the last game on the slate #Analysis

  • Bodiaz36

Hard not to like a Warriors/Suns stack tonight. I’m going to keep riding the McCollum train until it derails…And does anyone have any insight as to what’s going on with Mike Conley right now? New team, new system messing with his rhythm? Dude used to be a premier PG. Good luck to all!

  • Ndepompei

Beal one of my favorite plays of the slate have to think he starts making shots real soon

  • jessedio

PJ Tucker has a 64% FG percentage and is shooting 67% from 3. Obv that’s unsustainable but wonder if he can maintain that one more game.

Welcome, Tollthebell. Sounds like you’re off to a pretty good start. You can’t reasonably ask for much more than close to breaking even, while still learning. Don’t hesitate to share your thoughts if you wish to.

FanDuel pricing sucks this year. About to just play on DK only going forward and FantasyDraft and yahoo.

  • jessedio

    Overpriced FD fades –

    KAT
    Drummond
    Rozier
    Randle

    Who else am i missing?
