It looks like Garland gets a big bump but I dont see where Love and Nance being out equates to any more court time.

  • Njsum1

I don’t love posting about plays as I feel, irrationally so, that’s it’s not good juju. Yet I’ve liked what I read the last handful of posts.

Side note…it’s unfortunate that the value is coming from that slog fest dumpster fire of a game.

I would think TT who was already a very strong play gets a bump as well

I am afraid to play TT, although the price is tempting. I just think he is the kind of guy who may end up on the bench fairly quickly if they are up or down by more than 10 or 12 points.

It probably doesn’t. Just means Love’s 16 or so shots a game are going elsewhere.

Not that your opinions aren’t informed, they are actually very informed. Yet DFS isn’t an exact science, and you’re wrong quite often, as are most of us. Yet, I like reading your thoughts, and don’t think they’re ridiculous.

Panda, and really anyone posting ideas and advice, it’s not necessarily about being right at a certain percentage (but being right more than wrong is of course a huge plus) it’s about how the case is made. Fore example, I put a lot more value into someone saying player x is a good pick due to matchup, advanced stats, prior performance, game scenarios, etc than someone saying player X revenge game all the moneys.

Sexton>A Holiday on DK considering injuries and price point. On FD with Holiday at 4100, Garland as the pivot becomes really really interesting at 4500. 20% usage rate for Garland with Love off the floor. 27% for Clarkson.

On FD Holiday could be 50% owned and Garland will be 10-20%. The floor ceilings are really similar in the this spot…

Seems like Cedi or Kevin Porter should benefit. In addition to Sexton and Garland. There’s a lot of fantasy points up for grabs.

Too bad the Knicks are tied for the 3rd sloggiest, stuck in the muddiest team in the league.

  • gausman7

So according to RG ownership projections (which aren’t perfect as most projections aren’t), they have KAT at a 5% ownership projection on FD.

11.6K vs Gobert isn’t perfect. No Wiggins. As a usage/ceiling play…seems like a very good tourney pick.

I guess the issue is “who do you give up?”. There are centers in the 6-7K range that look very solid, Doncic is in a smash spot, and Siakam as well.

I still can’t imagine a world where KAT carries sub 10% ownership.

Don’t play FD, but IIRC FD and Yahoo use the same scoring. Not sure on the pricing differences, but I’ve got Towns way behind Giannis, Harden, and Doncic tonight.

Don’t recall anyone mentioning Doncic yet. I assume everyone is playing him and it’s just obvious right?

Don’t have him in my pool tonight. Think Pop will have some sort of gameplan to limit him. I can see Luka going 5X, but not sure if that’s enough. Feel there’s a better chance of a ceiling game from Dame/Siakam even Kyrie than a celing game from Luka tonight. I just rather pay down and get more Dame/Siakam.

I’ve had this odd feeling about Garland all day. I started my “research” today by looking at PG’s and looking at CLE/NY. He was the first guy I looked at and felt warm inside. I think they call that a “gut feeling.” This guy was picked 5th in the draft for a reason. Has some legit upside as a player who basically hardly played in college due to an injury and I feel like he just needed extra time to get going. His usage was in the teens and is now creeping back up into the 20’s. That’s all I really have to go on. Ultimately he probably doesn’t have the upside you need for GPP’s, but that’s the unknown.

Yeah, think those decisions right there will affect quite a bit tonight.

Maybe. I did take a look and Doncic basically failed in all 3 games against the Spurs last year, so maybe there’s something to the Pop effect.

Haha…and Booker typically destroys the Celtics. He does, it’s a fact. Doesn’t mean he will tonight and he’s Booker so a score in the high 20’s is always on the table, but he does.

Yet if you need more…he’s been getting more assists lately, so I’m guessing his usage is on the rise. Price is fair 8k on Dk and Beal who’s like the same player just went off against Boston.

KAT can have 60 + every single time he’s out there, but it comes down to lineup build / entry type(cash vs GPP) and how many entries. Utah is 1st in every d category, 6th in slowest POP and top 3 on the slate against the Center position; to contra that, the T’wolves have no one else.

In cash, its hard to spend 10K (DK) on towns in this spot, but in a GPP with multi entries, playing towns is “fine” and you’ll naturally be a bit contrarian your PG/SG will contain a slightyl different player pool than the field who will be lower on Towns in general.

Any 10K player can be played any day, for me, it comes down to game type.

If we assume Love’s production is spread it impacts 2 factors: offensive usage of course but Love is also the leading rebounder for the Cavs at 12.1 per game. One perspective is TT could pick up a bunch of those and kill tonight. However, one might also suggest Taj/Randle could pick up a bunch of those as NY ranks #1 in offensive rebounds per game, and if we assume some of those boards turn into putbacks, could be a huge game for one of them.

Against Utah at that price, I am shocked if anyone plays him, so a good GPP play I suppose.

@NoLimits0…I realized long ago that you should only post on the forum because you enjoy it. I like talking sports, cracking some jokes which hopefully make other people laugh, yet more importantly make me laugh, posting GIF’s, helping people out with general strategy, etc.

One thing I’ve noticed, is that most, not all, people will put more weight into posts by users with a ranking next to their name, even if what they have to say is often ridiculous.

I try and respond equally to any posts I find interesting, and regular posters who I think add something to the forum, regardless of ranking “status,” which means nothing to me.

My point….don’t let posts but people you don’t know or who don’t know you bother you.
Stepping down from my soapbox now. 😁🏀🍀

I feel like some folks lose sight of how injury news like the Love situation affects the team on the other side. Now I like Randle when before I wasn’t interested. He’s going to get better rebounding opportunities now that Love is out. Mitchell Robinson is another one I like.

Just took a look. He only really failed in the 3rd matchup, in the other 2 he had 31-8-4 and 25-8-8. And this is a much better squad than last season. With SAS playing like garbage of late, I’m definitely going to have some exposure.
