The price on Parker is a joke on FD. I almost played on FD on Saturday just to play Parker at 3.9 then just forgot as lineups locked and figured I missed my chance. Then he puts up another 40 spot and gets no price increase. His ownership won’t be 100% but it should be.

one of those he’s probably gonna be in the winning LU due to shear ownership things, even if he duds

i like sexton and dsj, as well as nance from that game. Sabonis also becomes very interesting if turner is ruled out

me too…why is Nance getting so many minutes lately? I’m on DSJ also…not sure about Sexton. Anyone like Murray at all?

Because he’s healthy and Zizic sucks.

Alright this is it. If I don’t win a GPP tonight tomorrow I’m going to go get a haircut and then Wednesday I’m going to start looking for a job.

I was going to start today if i lost yesterday but that slate was just garbage, i feel like i deserve another shot. Also, I need to clean my house today and it’s raining.

All in tonight baby. All in. Let’s get some spreads and totals up there Vegas…. Injury Reports are pretty vague already I see great….

I kinda like this slate.. I don’t see any 152-143 point shootouts I have to be bound and chained too. I hate those slates..

If yesterday was a 1/2 NL game on Saturday Evening at Planet Hollywood in 2009 this feels more like a Monday afternoon at the Mardi Gras in Hollywood, Florida with the retirees and $40-max buyin…

I think we have a lot of match-ups where at least one team is interested in making the game grindy…. that makes random outbursts a lot less likely and means you have to play a tighter player pool this evening i think. This ain’t the night to get all CandyLand and play guys you “think” might do well. Just take the sure things and let other people blow themselves up. if you wanna get hot & saucy there are a few good spots in the later half of the slate.

The 7 pm games are going to be played fairly straight forward though. Pretend you’re up against a weak-tight grandpa and his hand is face up… he’s got high cards and he’s playing fit&fold on the flop… don’t get Fancy Play Syndrome

how does he not have 10 steals against smith jr…

    is that a thing?

I try to avoid watching DSJ play basketball at all costs he’s my least favorite player in the league. Maybe my least favorite NBA player ever really…

But he’s a pretty deft ballhandler or at least was in high school and college…

Ive been pretty sick having to play him in virtually every lineup the last several slates, it felt nice being able to fade him against the Raptors when he was chalk…

I wish they’d hurry up and price him correctly. I try not to let personal like/disdain for players cloud my judgment as to their DFS value but with a guy like DSJ it’s just hard. I mean I’d play Joseph Stalin at the right price, but he had some redeeming qualities as a leader.

I’m showing he only had one turnover last game… care to elaborate?

Bucks only being favored by 9 against Chicago is fishy.

Sexton has one of the lowest steal rates of any PG in the league and averages 0.6 steals per 36. Dennis Smith isn’t some turnover machine, his turnover rate is lower than guys like Ben Simmons, Rajon Rondo, Elf Payton and Trae Young and the same as Ricky Rubio. Feels like a weird statement to make for this matchup.

They got rid of 2 guys that are negatives on the court and added a guy that’s a positive. Theoretically the team should be better with Porter.

Eh, Otto Porter isn’t that big of difference maker though. Milwaukee has been blowing teams out lately. Maybe its the home bump, or maybe there’s going to be some injury news coming out in a bit.

in the last 10 games he has around 31 tournovers, sexton is not a big stealer but i think with smith turnover ratio and dominate ball duties sexton can get a few steals tonight that is why

Who to take from the late game?

  • Ace15

Lillard is a lock for meeee against RWB especially at that price lol. Zubac still to cheap in a better matchup too IMO. Jamal Murray looks like he’s in a primee GPP spot tonight.

    a LOT better…

Porter is one of the more impactful players in the league.

That Bulls team has some serious spacing with a Porter/Markannen frontcourt. That opens up a lot of lanes for Dunn/Lavine who have a tremendous size advantage over most defenders to begin with.

Porter is also one of those guys who masks a ton of defensive deficiencies which the Bulls have plenty of.

Kris Dunn is as elite as they come at applying ball pressure which forces the ball out of your primary ballhandlers hands a lot. Unfortunately, that isn’t that big of a plus if your other guard is Zach Lavine who can’t guard a tomato can. Thats where a guy like Porter who can take on the secondary playmaker or defend the weakside comes in huge.

Now you can just hide Lavine on a shooter and hope he took his ADD meds that day.

If Wendell Carter develops any semblance of an offensive game that team is sorta interesting now if they draft well this year. He’s already a very capable defender himself.

As for DFS purposes not only does Porter make the Bulls a better offensive team he’s low usage so that opens up more opportunity for other guys. That’s a big reason why Markannen and Lavine were autoplay the last two games IMO. Markannen also for the immense rebound value he had after the trade… i had him projected for 16(!) rebounds against the undersized Nets frontcourt. Samsonite, I was way off. He had 18. If he hadn’t been bone tired vs Washington he prob woulda hit 14+ the next night too.

  • TrustinthePlan

Lopez bros going against each other tonight. Should be interesting. Hoping value opens up so you can fit Harden/Westy in a lineup together on DK, lol.

From a raw stats perspective he doesn’t jump out, but he always rates extremely highly in the advanced impact type stats. His skill set is perfect for a role player, reliable 3 point shooter, can make plays when he’s run off the line, can hold his own in the post against 4s, solid rebounder and can even steal you some minutes as a small ball 5. He’s one of those guys where his non-statistical contributions far exceed his statistical contributions. Is like the anti-Kanter.

HIs turnover rate with the Knicks is an extremely low 12% and they play at a snail’s pace…. I’m not seeing this angle.

Now Dennis Smith has never even considered playing defense before so if you think Sexton can score 22-26 points, I’m with you there.

I think Dennis Smith Jr will be too busy shooting to turn it over all that much.

I mean I’d watch another Kevin Durant press conference to hear him whine like a baby again for 5 minutes before I’d watch the first quarter of this Knicks-Cavs game tonight though, so let me know how it goes!

How bad was that press conference though? What is wrong with that guy? Severe personality disorder…

    100% accurate. Nice summary.

We’re only two years removed from Otto Porter nearly carrying the Wizards to the Eastern Conference Finals. If Marcus Morris hadn’t rolled his ankle causing them to blow their huge lead they would have beaten Boston in the 2nd round.

Their bench was one of the worst I’ve ever seen so I’m not sure they could have gotten by Cleveland to reach the NBA Finals, but they definitely would have given them a much tougher series than Boston did.

    some thoughts on today

can’t get off a chris paul/smith jr stack on FD at PG

at SG i like waiters, clarkson, hardaway JR, doncic, mccollum, trier, nwaba,

SF: Parker, knox, hezonja, leonard, PG13, danilo (usage should be really high with first unit now that tobias is gone)

PF: blake, chriss, saric, nance, (sort of struggling at PF today may just punt for the low score drop in at least one spot)

C: zubac, towns, drummond, jordan, plumlee (if millsap out)

In addition to his extremely low turnover rate with the Knicks most turnovers are off the pass and not a result of being stripped, so the on ball defender isn’t the primary benefactor of a player being turnover prone. If you play Sexton it’s because DSJ is a bad defender and the Knicks are a bad defense and you think Sexton will get there with his scoring and assists. You can’t bank on steals from a guy averaging 0.5 steals per game.
