No love for Gorgui Dieng vs. a physical MIA team? Bjelica is out.

I’m not getting the Tyler Ulis love today saying he is ultimate lock.

I believe he’s had 4 starts this season and averaged just over 1 FP per minute in those starts. Should be a lock for 35 minutes and have a floor of 30 FP which is close to 6x value.

Did all my research last night and figured I’d pass some opinions along. Keep in mind this is from a DK GPP perspective. Do with them what you will:

All the PHX players are in good spots, but be careful with the prices on these guys now. Warren is a dicey play at 6.6k. Booker is up to 7.2k after a down game. Ulis at 5.7k is riskier then it looks at first glance considering the sample size we have for him and the opponents he’s done his damage against are pretty weak. I realize Orlando is not a team defensively to be feared by any means, but they’re better than Sacramento or the Lakers. He’s still obviously the best play of the group. Not sure he’s the best point-per-dollar PG on the slate though. I’ll have exposure to these players, but I wouldn’t go overly heavy on any of them. They’re all going to be chalkier then they should be, and there’s other players in great spots tonight.

The Pelicans give up as many 3’s in the league as anyone. We all know HOU loves to shoot the 3-ball. Harden, Gordon, Anderson, Lou, will be bombing away.

With Thomas out for Boston, Smart might be my favorite PG on the slate, and I think he’s the better point-per-dollar PG then Ulis. He averages 29.4 FP’s a game when he starts. He gets a 4.5% usage boost with Thomas off the floor. He gets as good a match up as a PG can ask for in BKN. The Nets turn the ball over more than any team in the league. Their awful rebounding the ball. The chance for peripheral stats are abundant and with Thomas off the floor he’ll be asked to pick up the scoring.

Dragic is a poor defender, but as a whole the Heat are good defensively and it’s time to get off the Rubio bandwagon. I will have zero exposure to him and Towns. On the flipside, I’m big on Whiteside.

Feel free to avoid DET/TOR completely.

No Buck is a bad play.

Favorite play at each position based on upside, compared to price: Smart, Beal (if Wall is out), Valentine (if Wall plays), Middleton, AD, Horford.

Honorable mention: Payton, Harden, ABC, Mirotic, Noel.

Top Punts: Barea, Rozier, Shabazz, Brown.

Ok ,sorry to quote this whole big post, but at least you’ll know what i’m talking about. Looked back at a couple things and making a change.

Favorite plays at each position based on upside, compared to price, is now, with Wall out: Jennings, Smart, Middleton, AD, Horford.

If Wall plays: Smart, Valentine, Middleton, AD, Horford.

Changing my honorable mention PG to Ulis. Somehow missed that Payton’s priced jumped to 7.8k. Not sure if I can go there yet.

Another bleeping night with too much value. On a 3 day losing streak going to throw at least 1 balanced lineup in tonight to go contrarian.

Noel is a lock for me tonight in a revenge game. could easily go for 20 and 20

  • Green_Ranger_91

I partialy retract my earlier statement against Butler. He did score 64 FD points against Washington earlier in the season. But that was a Home game with Wade (I did mention that he seems to actually struggle lately without him). But I think you play him and if he does bust, he just bust. But seems to be a lock. I also like Markieff.

Like him too, but the question is the minutes. Granted even in 20 he could do big damage, but it’d be nice if they just started him and gave him 30. No good reason not to start Yogi, Curry, Barnes, Dirk, Noel. Especially if Matthews is out.

Butler just dropped 52. At 8700 with no wade and the Wizards awful at guarding the SF position hes my lock. Clarkson seems like a lock to hit value even if he has a bad game. The value is there, its picking which studs are more likely to go off tonight. Greek, Harden, Towns, AD, Cousins

Whatever happened to Butler does not play well in March or Butler has given up on the season. Must have been when the coach (I don’t want to ever remember his name) had a religious moment and decided that Mirotic and Rondo really did know about basketball, thereby reinserting them into daily LUs.

I like the Mavs (full disclaimer…Mavs homer) in general tonight as they are desperately fighting for the 8th seed (same goes for Heat and Bulls). I really want to ignore the Rockets/Pelicans as I feel the spread is wrong and the Rockets will blow this one out.

how many times has he had 20 boards in his career that it will be easy?

  • Damodei12

Yeah ullis is a much better play than mo buckets was yesterday. His team is gonna play him all the minutes as we’ve seen, he’s an up and coming player who they just benched their old star for. I expect ownership to be very very high

His “floor” is likely around 18-20. Think anyone would be just fine with 30FP. I get that he has potential but think there is more risk baked into this price than people are giving credit for. Having said that, I think he is a fine GPP play but not necessarily a cash game lock.

Is Julius Randle in play or a trap? I’m thinking of just paying down for Dirk.

All lakers for me are GPP only at this point. No clue what they will do with rotations but yes, randle is GPP worthy I would say.

Not only that how many times has Nerlens scored 20 points in a game? I“m a Sixers fan. I’m glad he’s gone. Not only is he fragile and misses games but the dude can’t shoot for shit and he can’t hold on to the ball. He hustles yes, and yes he does get you some blocked shots and some rebounds but the dude can’t score.

If he starts and sees 30+ minutes tonight, 20 boards is certainly possible. He had 17 against Memphis in 35 minutes and 13 against the Lakers in 22 minutes. As long as this game stays somewhat close I think Dirk has an easy double double too.

  • 7klub06

Dragic killed Minnesota they last time they played.
Horford is on a hot streak can’t pass that train up, prolly want be to highly owned either
    Two locks so far

  • fftomster

Mirotic,Lopez, Dellavedova or Hollis tonight? need 2 of them for Cash on DK. Cant find a decision…

You have to look at the way the offense runs. Dallas offense isn’t about making an entry pass and then having Noel try to work it down low, they’ll run a high pick and roll over and over looking for Noel on the lob or easy lay up. It’s simply a matter of chemistry between him and 1 of the Dallas guards. If Wright was capable of 20+ point gamese running the high pick and roll with Dallas, Noel is absolutely capable as well. IF he starts, I’ll have him tonight.

  • jetsfan303

Everyone all over Tyler Ulis. Seems like Wall might be out. If that’s the case, Brandon Jennings could be an awesome pivot.

He scored over 63 FD points earlier this year against Washington… with Rondo and Wade in the lineup. Also, it wasn’t an ot game either.

I think with Butler it’s not all about hitting 5 or 6X. I think with Butler I’d pay the 8.700 on FD for a guaranteed 40 burger.

Thanks for your research and kind post. Nice baseline. IMO PHX players are a trap at their new pricing, Ulis especially. Elfrid should eat him up. Pay up for the Elf Man. Alan “DD” Williams is best swag of the bunch.
