siakam has sucked lately for his price
toronto should win easily(although last night showed us anything is possible)
I dont see him getting big minutes
I would rather player others at his position that I trust more and I think have a higher ceiling even if they cost more

Yep agree again. UTA literally doesn’t have anyone else who can score consistently and get their own shot then Spida. Clarkson is in play here and I hope people go for Lou or others. Also, running a ton of Jerami Grant, MPJ going to get exposed and don’t think Malone is going to ride that out. Grant had a nice game and didn’t even get peripherals where he usually does. I can see him hitting 30 easily with 40pt upside.

Also, not to rain on anyone’s parade, yet Grant saw a ton of minutes due to Craig foul trouble not MPJ getting exposed.

Back to Clarkson, I think he’s a very solid play. Yet I believe your post alluded to him playing 40 minutes. Just wanted to point out, that in a normal competitive game, he’ll see 34, so make sure your projections/expectations are based on that.

And Grant, his minutes are harder to gauge, think he might see around 24. If Craig stays out of foul trouble.

Thinking about Mitchell I see 3 possible outcomes:
    1) He repeats to some extent that insane performance and usage
    2) He is colder, but smart and usage gets spread around making Clarkson, Ingles and Royce great plays
    3) He is colder, but stubborn, keeps shooting and missing and the game blows out

Although I believe Grant saw a few extra minutes, because of Craig, I believe PJ Dozier was more so the beneficiary of Craig foul trouble. Both probably see 5 less minutes if Craig doesn’t get in foul trouble. Take away OT, and Grant still sees 30 minutes, with upside to squeak out a couple more.

30 minutes is plenty of time for Grant to do damage.

Brown is a fantastic play at 7k on FD. He is a prime example of “good chalk” and I will have 100% exposure.

However, I cannot fit him into my DK lus.

Whats siakam ownership on DK looking like?

100% true. And Grant in the current rotation mostly splits minutes with Millsap and MPJ.

I want to play Siakam, loved playing him early in the year but since the restart he’s been sketchy.

Noooooooooo! I was high on Siakam until you pointed that out. Kiss of death sometimes.

Beer’s Beast of the Week in NFL were almost always destined to fail last season.

His NBA picks weren’t as bad prior to the Covid break.

Haven’t seen anyone mention him so I’ll do it. Seth Curry is $3600 on DK. He’s in the same range as Royce O’Neal, Monte Morris and Maxi Kleber. Curry came off the bench in game one but still played 33 minutes. If I’m being honest, I like him better off the bench. All it would take is for Curry to get hot and he could have the kind of ceiling game that wins you a GPP at low ownership. I’m not saying I would go heavy, but a small sampling seems worth it to me in MME. Especially if no one else is going to play him.

Side Note: He’s married to Doc Rivers daughter if you are into narratives.

Yes, not as much as Brown though. Also, he is more attractively priced on FD. With DK’s lu construction, I think you can look elsewhere without it coming back to haunt you.

Regarding Grant…I didn’t watch the game, but looking at the flow I think it’s a bit of both. I both Grant and Morris benefitted a little due to Craig foul trouble, but Grant really got minutes in the 4th over MPJ as he played most minutes next to Craig. Grant appears to also have jumped Plumlee in the depth chart. I think Grant is fine, he’s the ir swiss army knife off the bench.

the guy I want is Royce-he will probably get more minutes(if he stays out of foul trouble) he has 30-40 point upside-he definitely has a low floor but I will risk it

I dont want any part of clarkson-I dont think he has upside-most games u will get 20-25 out of him-where he has hit 30-40 which is not often has been vs teams like houston and NO that run and gun and I think Connelly out hurts him not helps him as he will be asked to play more vs the ones

    MPJ getting exposed.

Did you not watch Mitchell constantly hunt MPJ. Stretch time Malone is not playing MPJ. Greant has plenty upside.

No, he got 5 minutes in the first Quarter and 7 in the second, before foul trouble. Grant was subbed in for Craig. That’s 24 minutes. If Malone let’s him close over Milsap/mpj it would be 29 minutes, without foul trouble or OT.

If Milsap/mpj closes its 24. That’s where I’m at. I went through the play by play. Dude also scored 28.5 fantasy points in 40 minutes. Say he does get the 29-30. That’s like 22-23. Sure he could have a great game, I’m also done arguing on this board cause it makes the opposite happen. Need that good juju.

    But theoretically, I’m right.

FWIW, Curry was pretty hot last game hitting 50% from 3. Assuming KP plays and isn’t ejected, I’m not sure he’ll see 11 FGA again and he’s pretty scoring dependent. All that said, I have him in 1 lineup currently and like him way more if Burke sits.

Looking more closely at the game flow, you’re correct Grant seemingly did benefit in the 2nd and 3rd due to Craig Foul trouble. That said, we really don’t know what the “normal” game flow would’ve been here, no guarantee the plan was for Craig to play 30+ minutes here, the plan may have been for him to see ~24 with Grant playing ~30 but he was pressed into max minutes by the Crag situation. Looking at bubble game logs Grant’s consistently played more minutes than Craig.

  • frugal

Sorry for the barrage of posts, but also something to consider across the board is coaches will be looking to make adjustments for things which went wrong game 1, even on winning teams. But for losing teams minutes may not mirror game 1 and defenses will absolutely look to put more pressure on the guys who went off in the 1st game.

  • NDNole

I’l try again maybe my question got lost in the shuffle. Whats the ownership on siakam on DK? Over under 20%?

Right, that’s what I’m saying. Grant should see betweeen 24-30 minutes.

I’m not saying he’s a good or bad play. Just trying to predict minutes for players as people are using last game, which was an OT game with players (Craig and Royce) getting into serious foul trouble.

I’m using an average of minutes over the last 5 +10% for the top 6 from each team to try and normalize things. However, I’ve had to manually adjust Grant due to his 40 and 47 minutes games…both vs UTA.
