Look at it this way. If I hit a 25K I would be tickled to death because it would be a windfall.

If you were counting on DFS you would need to hit that 3-4 times in a given year.

yes, I understand you can play cash games. But I would say unless you have a 60 percent win rate on cash games it might be too difficult to generate a return that would replace a 40-60K job.

I think we all have at one time or another sat at their work desk with feet propped up thinking about playing DFS full time and being sustainable at it, but I think you need to win enough first to entertain such bold career moves.

I’ve never had a 40-60k a year job. The job I just lost only paid 1500 a month. Hitting a 25K would sustain me for quite awhile.

Nothing wrong with dreaming big, just know when it’s time to wake up. I just lost my 35k a year job earlier this week, but feel the same way. It’s easy to think if you’re bank roll was big enough and you had the extra time you could be very successful, but it doesn’t always work that way either. Keep grinding.

I hear you. But I’ve been grinding the last 4 months. I figure now is the perfect time to take a shot at this while I’m young and newly unemployed with enough money to float for a few months.

I make about 70K a year and I might lose my job this year. Seeing as how I don’t have a college degree it’s some scary ish. Companies do not value employees anymore and will ship as many jobs as they can overseas and treat American employees substandard AF. I normally don’t do rash things like invest into gambling but given my success playing $5-10 a night, I have been thinking about increasing my bankroll and playing more money so I can hit some real cash. I compare my score nightly to bigger GPP’s and I would be doing pretty good. Just scared to have a long losing streak and blow my BR. But scared money doesn’t make money.

    Hayward 3100 lol

Man…good luck to you guys. I guess we’re all in different places in life, I can see DFS as a nice supplemental income but no way would I try to live off it at the moment especially with the legality still be challenged in several states and the unknown landscape of the FD/DK merger.

you wouldn’t even need a long losing streak. losing 100 dollars per night for 4-5 days will make a dent into most civilian DFS players.

Any news on Rising Stars starters? My guess would be Russell/Booker/Ingram/Towns/Turner vs Murray/Hield/Dario/Porz/Jokic

  • jtkucheck

This thread gets pretty depressing when we don’t have injury news/speculation/starting lineups to fawn over… yikes fellas.

DFS shouldn’t replace your job until you are winning consistently while also having your job.

On to the slate… is there a consensus on whether or not either of these games is stackable? I would think the ASG more so because more points but this is a weird freakin’ slate. Also really think Westbrook is a major fade candidate because Kerr controls his destiny and made pretty pointed statements about the fact that he has control over who sees the floor. Could see Curry/Durant logging heavy minutes together as scorers with Harden/Leonard facilitating and Westbrook only seeing 15-18.

I posted this a little bit ago. NBA TV on Facebook has some pregame stuff. At the World Team practice the guys walking the sets are Porzingus, Saric, Jokic, Hield, and Exum. Rest watching from sideline.

This is the type of situation that I can see glass getting hurt in a shoot around.

  • draggin49

It’s frustrating enough with the late scratch bs for casual players , can you imagine if you were playing high volume and max entering gpps having say a couple thousand in play nightly. Lol I’d probably be smashing stuff in my house .

yeah, my favorites are Saric and Hield atm, IDK if I want to pay more for Jokic then I would for westbrook on this slate

From the world/usa game i’m liking Kaminsky, Sabonis, and Hernangomez. Maybe Brogdon too. Really think going with the sub 5k guys in that game is the way to go.

  • draggin49

Yeah I’m really unsure what to do with RWB .
His hate for KD and GSW is real . We know he will get his in however mins he gets but we have captain douche bag Kerr running the team. So if RWB does straight up ignore the GSW guys while he is on the floor with them I could see Kerr subbing him out and he plays less mins .
The east starting lineup has nobody that matches up well with Davis. Kyrie and LBJ prices seem decent. I think if those 2 don’t have big games the east will get mopped up.

  • andre33

Anyone think Exum can do some damage tonight?

The West is actually guard rich with Curry, Harden, Klay, and Westbrook each of them capable of putting up big numbers if they want to. First look I was all on Westbrook. But I’ve softened a bit on him and think I like Curry and Durant starting together playing under Kerr. I’m only playing 3 lineups in the quarter arcade. Have Westbrook in 1.

Thanks, I had been pretty high on Jamal. Makes me like him a lot less. Exum probably is better than he first appears in a fast paced no defense game but I still likely won’t be on him

im hoping for low ownership and lots of easy 2’s

  • 7klub06

Very interested to see how Westbrook will play when on the court the same time as Durant/Curry/Klay

  • rayjay43

can i just get my girlfriend to pick 8 names and have a chance of winning this slate lol

  • 7klub06

    No love for Ingram tonight?

4 months? That’s not enough of a sample size tbh.

Does anyone know a site with a lineup builder for this all star slate?
