Worst thing that can happen to the Warriors is Cousins comes back. Most overrated player ever a worse fit for Warriors than the Looney/Bell/Bogut combo. If he comes back it makes the Raptors better lol.

People just think he’s good because his counting stats are good but everywhere he’s been the team gets better when he leaves or gets injured.

I agree he isn’t a good fit. However, I don’t think boogie is overrated. If healthy, on right team (Lakers) he is elite.

Don’t agree. Cousins can’t even jump over a phone book anymore. He is slow and is a defensive liability. What he does bring is some post up ability on offense, and the ability to hit an occasional three. He is also a decent passer. For GS he makes them worse because he is a defensive sieve. What he brings to the table offensively for the Warriors does not overcome his defense.

I just kind of assumed he hasn’t fully recovered from his injuries and was still getting into game shape. I pretty sure teams would love to have his offensive production if fully recovered, in shape, and healthy. Sometimes it takes a year or 2 to fully recover from his injury. I do agree his offense isn’t necessarily needed in GS and his D is bad. So your points are more than fair. He may never be the same offensive Boogie.

Plenty of time for Kerr to think of more Drake jokes

Doubtful, Steph would run his legs off. They’ll probably put Danny Green on him.

  • cbsharpe

Cousins not being athletic, hurts the Warriors as well.

I was trying to remember who they used in the December game. They started Lowry, Van Vleet and Green (Leonard was out).

Whoever it was got the job done, Curry was 3 for 12 and had about 20 DK points over 33 minutes.

Looks like VanVleet guarded him a lot

but it was also a horrible shooting night, starters were 6-26 from 3

And the first game when Curry was out Van Vleet hardly saw the floor.

It’s a shame he got hot last week and drove his price up. At $2k he’d be quite the play in this series.

It was a different team then, they still had Wright and Valanciunas. Forgot this was the game where JVal dislocated his thumb, that was painful to watch again. VanVleet will probably see decent minutes if he keeps shooting so well.

    understatement

FvF is 14 of 17 from the arc of 3 since his son was born ~300mi SW of where the Bucks play

  • telestraightshooter

How much run does the 1st pick in the 2005 draft – Bogut get?

~ 20mins like the LAC series?

7ft centers who have played for Mem & Tor this year do VERY well vs da ‘dubs… like 45 -55 per 36

    More like 90 miles.

It can’t be any farther than that, they’re both suburbs of Chicago. :)

Yeah, he’s been on fire…Kerr’s got a joke about that, too
“VanVleet just completely turned things around for himself by having a baby apparently. Hopefully, he doesn’t have any more children during the finals.”

The curious thing there is that Memphis played a ton of Gasol/Valanciunas and got thumped all three games despite big lines from the bigs. Toronto went small with Ibaka instead, got 20 points out of him each time and won both.

I’m not saying Memphis lost because they went big; they lost because they’re Memphis and not Toronto. But why would Toronto change from what’s been working?

In Rockford’s case it’s without the $, sadly.

    I only mentioned Memphis since they swapped centers & JV’s per36 was 50+ vs dubs on both teams. Trying to extrapolate if Gasol has equal replacement value for JV in TOR lineup vs dubs;

JV has 35 dK in 24mins

I think Gasol’s per36 will be fine, maybe great. The question is: does he get enough minutes to pay off his salary? That’ll probably vary from game to game; getting it right is one of the keys to the series.
