Good description on how rigorous the repeater tax is:

    GSW tax bill

    Before: $184.8M
    After: $172.9M

Moving off of $1.8M in salary saves $12M

If there’s any team not named the Bucks or Nets that has a chance of winning the East, my money is on Chicago.

Yeah, not to mention one of their big young pieces is Barret.

So, I’m guessing they start Kemba/Fournier/Barrett

Then there should be about 45-50 bench minutes available between those 3, and I guess they get split up between Burks and Rose.

The most important thing is they brought back Taj Gibson.

Kemba’s knees seem to be beat up pretty bad. He played very few back to back games last season? I don’t like the pick up.

I like a lot of the Laker moves but boy are they an old team. Interesting to see how the age factor plays out.

Veteran free agent forward Kelly Oubre is in discussions with the Charlotte Hornets, per sources. There’s no agreement tonight, but talks are ongoing. Could be a good fit with a young, athletic Hornets team. Averaged 15.4 ppg for the Warriors last season.

I don’t know why anyone would want to sign him. All three teams in the tax heavily. He will not crack any of their rotations. I would understand if it was a ceremonial retire with the Warriors thing and he retired a few days into camp.

Warriors could use his veteran presence the most to help mentor the rookies.

He is not worth the 15 million in taxes. Hire him as an assistant coach then.

As long as they dump his salary before the end of the season they won’t have to pay the tax. Iggy pretty much sucks now.
