I kind of thought they could have a slate that was good and some teams could have stayed home or close to home.
    I wanted.
    Knicks at Brooklyn.
    Atlanta vs Philly
    Suns vs Milwaukee
    Lakers VS Golden State
    Denver vs Dallas.

Yeah, I get why they chose what they did. They pick the elite teams and who brings in the casuals. Just the same teams every year it feels like. Match ups seem kind of watered down mostly.

Knicks vs Celtics and Bucks vs Hawks makes more sense to me then what they did. Nets vs Lakers makes a lot of sense. The western match ups don’t do much for me.

The only thing I like is I am going to be able to go to a Christmas game. Bucks have been on the road the last two or three years for Christmas. My kids live across the country and will be home for Christmas, and have already asked if I can get tickets for Christmas day.

What I don’t like, is ring night for the Bucks is against the Nets. To me, that should be a game against a shitty team like Sacremento or something :) Feels like it should be an automatic victory on ring night instead of playing a team better than you that is fully healthy.

    I agree.

Ring night is a huge distraction from the game at hand.

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is purchasing a stake in the Milwaukee Brewers, sources tell ESPN. Follows the model of Patrick Mahomes: small-market star investing in the local baseball franchise, which Mahomes did in joining the Royals’ ownership group.

Detroit Pistons’ Sekou Doumbouya is reportedly on the move as they’re looking to clear a roster spot. If Detroit makes a move, engaging with San Antonio Spurs would makes logical sense. To complete it, Spurs would need to send a heavily protected 2nd-round pick to Detroit.

Do the Pistons need to clear a roster spot? Yes.
Will the guy they move be Sekou? Maybe.
Would getting Sekou only take a “heavily protected” 2nd round pick? I highly doubt it.

Pistons have Cunningham, Diallo, J. Jackson, F. Jackson, McGruder, and Hayes who have and can all spend time at 2.

Makes a lot more sense to move/cut Josh Jackson or McGruder. They’re much thinner at the 3/4 then the 2/3.

  • tmarohl

I thought they were treating Baby Giannis kind of short in this report.

  • osuryanf

Cavs desperately need wing help. Sekou is still young and thus fits the Cavs timeline. Id kind of like to see the Cavs throw an offer for him. It’s worth the gamble.

    Wow, that’s kind of shocking.

At least they waited until all the kids were out of the house.

I wonder who will win custody of the season tickets to Steph’s games, and who will get stuck with season tickets to Seth’s games?

Seems like once you are in your late 50’s like me and the Curry’s, what is the point?
I hope this doesn’t impact Steph or Seth’s jump shots.

I think Steph and Seth’s sister is married to Damion Lee, so the GS season tickets are obviously more important.

  • tmarohl

Seriously what is the point, unless they can’t be companions anymore. He would need pills to get it up, and she would need lot’s of lube. It shouldn’t be a sexual thing in mid to late 50’s, so basically they must not be able to cohabitate anymore :) In my opinion, they should just enjoy the fame and continue living through their kids, but what do I know :)

I’m guessing a $25 milly + mid September contest post date.

I don’t think it’ll be as low as $5. Last year it was ridiculous. $15, 1 million to first with a 2.5 million pool. I imagine something very similar this year. Maybe they do up it to $25 to try and get to a 3 million pool.

I think it’ll be awhile until contests are posted. Maybe a month out, so definitely mid-September at the earliest.

Nerlens Noel claiming Rich Paul promised him a max deal if he signed with him.

    http://sportsagentblog.com/2021/08/24/nerlens-noel-blasts-nba-agent-rich-paul-in-new-lawsuit/

Paul, who represents the likes of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Trae Young, Draymond Green, and Ben Simmons, is alleged to have interfered with Noel’s preexisting relationship with Happy Walters, who had represented Noel after he was drafted into the NBA out of the University of Kentucky in 2013. The Complaint says that Paul, knowing that Noel was represented by Walters in 2017, told Noel that he “was a 100 million man” and that Paul could get Noel a max deal if he terminated his relationship with Walters.

Dell Curry Accuses Wife Sonya of Cheating on Him With Former Patriot Steven Johnson

In her filings, Sonya accuses Dell of cheating on her with multiple women throughout their marriage, and that many people close to the family were already aware of his extramarital affairs, which the docs describe as “an open secret.”

Very curious to see how close they get to that 1.194 million entries. The fact that it’s a 5 million pool, it at least makes it playable. Plus, I’m way overdue to win some NFL money.
