The Jump used to be my favorite show, but I stopped watching TV in 2020 so I won’t miss it.
Still, I feel sorry for her. She was good at her job.

Bucks just “retired” their 25 year radio play by play announcer. Apparently not “woke” enough to be calling Bucks anymore for them. He wasn’t even allowed at the victory parade, while all the other broadcasters were. Didn’t say anything controversial. Just that he leans right and you have to be hard left to work in Bucks organization.

  • tmarohl

You have to be this woke to work for the Bucks.

ESPN Sources: Cleveland’s acquiring Chicago’s Lauri Markkanen in three-way sign and trade with Portland. Bulls get Derrick Jones Jr., POR’s lottery protected future 1st and Cavs’ future second-rounder. POR gets Larry Nance Jr.

Good move for all involved I think.

Yeah, not bad. Bulls get some wing depth they needed with Jones, plus a 1st. and 2nd. Nance is an upgrade from Jones for Portland. Cleveland gets a player who I think can still develop into a good player. Allen/Mobley/Lauri could make a pretty good front court trio.

They just need to find a way to get Love out of there, because they can’t give all them dudes minutes.

I was puzzled by Love’s decision to withdraw from Team USA. It seemed like a great opportunity for him to enhance his curb appeal to other teams if he could return from Tokyo with a gold medal.

Actually looking at the trade deeper, I think it was bad for Cleveland. Bulls got a steal for a guy they were probably going to have to overpay to keep, who is not a difference maker. Four years 68 million is a lot to pay Markkannen. Especially when Cleveland had the better player in Nance under contract for about 10M per year for the next two years. Chicago gets a nice backup in Jones and two picks for a guy they didn’t want. Portland gets a rebounder they so desperately need. So after further analysis, bad trade for Cleveland.

Because he quickly realized he couldn’t play, wasn’t in shape, and was still injured.

    Agreed.

  • realphipps

If he can stay healthy, and shoot 40% from distance again, Cavs fans will be quite happy with this deal.

We’re desperate for outside shooting. And I think, the deeper they go into next season, we’ll see three “seven footers” on the court at a time with Lauri at the 4 and Mobley at the 2/3.

Sounds crazy suggesting Mobley will be a wing, but everything I’ve heard from Cavs insiders says they want him on the perimeter a lot to begin his career.

After agreeing to a buyout with the Memphis Grizzlies, the Los Angeles Lakers are the frontrunners to sign guard Rajon Rondo, sources tell ESPN.

  • monarch

Markannen is just never going to make it. He is super talented for a seven footer, you watch him for five minutes…just five minutes and he projects to be an all star. Keep watching for five games and it just gets frustrating. Maybe he could land on a team three years from now that is already championship caliber and he can give them fifteen good minutes of floor spacing where there is no pressure on him.

Larry Nance is a real player. DJJ is a good fit for the Bulls because they project to play fast and need as many low usage glue guys as they can get and he fits the mold.

Ben Simmons officially asks for trade and says he won’t show up to camp.

    Good for him.

Whatever leverage Philly had with their absurd offers to other teams has just gone out the window.

    doesn’t change anything, IMO

76ers already had zero leverage and the entire NBA knew it, which is why no one is going to give up a king’s ransom for him.
