The Lakers are near a deal to acquire Washington’s Russell Westbrook for Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and a 2021 first-round pick, sources tell ESPN

Good deal for LA, I suppose. Here’s a bunch of junk for Westbrook. I think I’d rather have Westbrook.

  • PaperStacking92

Now I wonder if Beal gets moved. Memphis please call Wiz and get that deal done ASAP

    That is hilarious.

Philly should’ve kept Fultz over Simmons. In hindsight Simmons should’ve just stayed in college for his whole career.

  • realphipps

I like the Cavs move, especially if they use that 2nd rounder to move up for Jalen Johnson tonight.

Sexton won’t be a Cav much longer. Rubio will help with the transition from rebuild to playoff contender going into 2022, when Love’s contract becomes tradable.

Next we’re going to hear Philly offered SImmons to ATL for Trae Young, John Collins, and DeAndre Hunter, and 2 future 1sts.

They don’t want Garland running the point in Cleveland?

Your star player threw Simmons under the bus. Your coach threw Ben Simmons under the bus. He’s abandoned the team. Coming off the worst chunk of time in his NBA career, and they’re trying to get a kings ransom for the guy.

Morey is secretly a terrible GM, right? People claim this guy is good, but I don’t understand why.

Philly is insane with these offers.

You’d have to be nuts to give up multiple lottery picks for Simmons.

Is he very talented? Sure, but he’s making huge money and has mental/confidence problems.

And we know Philly has to trade him, so they have no leverage.

I’d trade my team and picks for Giannis, Luka, maybe a small group of others. Not for Simmons.

Right. Indy offered Brogdon and the 11th pick tonight for him a few weeks ago, and that might end up being close to the best realistic offer they get for him.

Philly should’ve taken that deal right away.

Meh. Pistons have three 2nd round picks. We’re talking 2nd round picks here, and they shed a roster slot and created an 8 million trade exception, or 8 million in cap space. Usually when you move a contract and bring nothing back, you have to give up something.

Don’t get me wrong I get the move for Pistons, they have Stewart who is nice as well and rightfully deserved a permanent spot in the rotation. Curious to see who Hornets get with that pick thou

  • yisman

Westbrook to Lakers plus something else maybe

Kuzma, Harrell, KCP, and a first in return

  • yisman

^ Lakers also get 2 second rounders

damn Toronto. I needed Suggs 4th.

Really throws it off, because ORL doesn’t “need” Suggs, with Fultz.

Of course they take him anyway, because how can you not, I guess. Although Kuminga then taking Bouknight or Moody at 8 would have made sense too.
