Draymond had a great quote tonight. He said something along the lines of they all got lazy when KD plays, because they always knew they could just get the ball to him and he would get a basket. They had to revert back to playing more team basketball, moving the ball around, and everyone playing hard to overcome KD’s loss. That is why GS is so good.

what a 4th quarter from Steph

just watched a replay of the final minutes

felt like deja vu watching Houston collapse

exact same situation as that series against the Spurs two years ago. Kawhi/KD go down, Houston down 3-2, everyone thinks Houston has a great chance to win the series, and they choke in Game 6.

At least they didn’t lose by like 40 points this time I guess.

I don’t consider this a collapse by Houston, because I steadfastly will not believe they were a good team. It was more Houston playing their same lame iso ball game with Harden or Paul, not involving anyone else, and GS rising to the occasion and playing excellent team basketball. I repeat, Houston was a very flawed team, if you could even call them a team. More like a couple of individuals.

Really frustrating that CP3 finally came thru, I’ve been heavy on him all series until tonight. Only had him in 1/10 lineups on Yahoo but thankfully he’s in my best looking one. Had him with Iggy, Harden, Tucker & Looney with Butler, Milsap & Collins left. It’s projected for a top 10 finish but I’m certain one of those guys will sh*t the bed.

Best tweet of the night goes to Al Smizzle. When Jay Z and Beyonce are at your game and you lose, you got 99 problems but the conference finals ain’t one.

Any word on how long Durant’s gonna be out for?

Really wanted to see that game 7. Warriors couldn’t miss in the final 5 minutes

They make it sound like he will be back for the start of the next round. However, I could see them holding him out of one or two games at the beginning.

they had a report during the game from the sideline reporter. She said there’s no timeline but they knew right away he’d be out at least a week.

I’m guessing he’ll be back by Game 3 of the WCF.

    Game 1 5/14, Game 2 5/16, Game 3 5/18

So which one of these places do we think Harden is at? https://www.yelp.com/search?cflt=stripclubs&find_loc=Houston%2C+TX

The only reason this will be considered a rockets collapse is because of how last year ended for them. This one was solely the warriors just being better than them. Everyone on the warriors flipped that switch. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if the warriors go 8-0 the rest of the way. Only ABC presents a challenge.

  • SkateFiend

Curry and Thompson were going to score a combined 60-70 points no matter what, and they did that. Those two effectively offset Harden and CP3. Kevon Looney matched Capela, who was supposed to be a part of big three.

The Rockets should have foreseen this. They needed either Eric Gordon and or Capela to score 20 points to offset the production from the Warriors role players. I figured the Rockets would be in trouble if Looney and Iguodala did anything productive and that’s what happened. Eric Gordon scored 9 points and Capela did no better than his typical low end double double routine.

Why didn’t they get Capela more involved in the offense? When Harden scores like 35 points the Rockets can beat themselves when 3 other players have do close to nothing.

Don’t agree. I think a Denver Golden State Series goes 6 or 7. Portland GS probably goes 5 or 6. In the Finals, GS may win, but I don’t think they sweep Bucks or Toronto. I actually think Bucks would beat Golden State in 5 or 6, but that is probably just the homer in me :)

I read somewhere the injury takes 2-6 to recover.

I wonder if sans Durant, Nuggets have a fair chance?

Had 265 cp3 as cap, iggy, harden, klay, curry, and….jerebko smh winning lineup had gerald green instead.

Warriors are definitely worse without KD but not worse enough to the point where Nuggets can beat them (like I said earlier they are better off with KD injured rather than Steph, obviously best with no one injured). Nuggets will probably will lose even without KD (Blazers too). Draymond has historically owned Jokic defensively.

Where KD will be missed is somehow it gets to the Finals and they have to play Giannis.

Nice win for the Warriors. It wasn’t the Rockets choking, they played well enough to win, yet Golden State just wasn’t missing any shots when it mattered. They stepped up in a big moment (the game itself) and a bigger moment (the end of the game) and would not be denied. Great game.

  • NoLimits0

I don’t get it is there no thread today?

Will Lillard play like almost all 48? Probably right?

Gutsy win with no KD and no Steph for the first half, with Klay carrying the team until Steph got going.

Warriors motion offense at its finest, everyone touches the ball, everyone contributes.

The regular season stats show that there isn’t much of a difference in the warriors with or without KD.

However, in the playoffs, in big moments, against certain opponents where his defense will be needed, I would think that they’re definitely better off with his services. Especially against Giannis, if it goes there.

Oh yea I mean KD + Steph is the best.

I was more saying Steph – KD > KD – Steph as in if I had to choose one of the two, I would choose Steph.

The best case is definitely Steph + KD for sure.
