No they won’t. Will lose too many guys.

I hope one of them is Eric Bledsoe, who was a crappier version of Kyle Lowry.

Guy can’t hit an outside shot to save his life. He makes over-the-hill George Hill look like an NBA All-Star.

I don’t like that move. He’s not a consistent producer (I feel that every time he burns me at DFS). Maybe he’s a good defender?

Think he is like a career 30%ish from 3-pt.

    33.6%

He’s a decent shooter, just had a poor playoffs and shot too often.

He just got 1st team all defense. So, yes.

Good luck arguing the Toronto team of 2015-2018 is even in existence today, except for Chokie Lowry, Fred and 2 years of Ibaka, the rest of the team is new, and without Leonard they don’t make it anywhere. Its not experience that won it for them, it was Leonard and defense on ABC and an overrated under performing Bledsoe, and to many off games from Middleton.

Milwaukee was indeed the better team.

Granted Pascal was on those rosters, he is great to watch play.

I’m rooting for the Raptors, I always rooted for them in non-Cavs game and my heart sank when they did lose.

another point I’ve always made is that Lebron just wanted to fade off into the sunset, and he picked a great place to do it in where his businesses are.
He’s done bringing “championships” to whereever he plays, and he is rightfully allowed to play the game with no pressure.

He was first team all defense.

I like GS over Toronto, but it should be a close series. On another note, I can’t wait to see Draymond and Boogie when Drake starts taunting them.

Bigger impact in Finals Mckinnie or Bell?

An NBA team can’t win the Finals (or even reach it) without a legit big three. The big three score around 80 points and apply some the 3 point daggers in the mid to late 4th quarter and the game is over.

The Raptors won’t be able to assign Kwahi on Durant and hope Curry and Thompson flames out. If one of them falters a bit then someone like Iguodala will do just enough to make the difference.

I didn’t bother watching the Blazers series, I knew that series was over. The NBA has serious issues with competitive balance.

    Your analysis is off.
Portland could of easily been up 3-1 if they had not blown 2 of the games with big leads.
What makes you think that Toronto won’t go up by 17 points in a game in Oakland AND not lose the lead?
Who lost to 4 “lottery” teams at home – It was Golden State Worry-ers.

The magic of GSW is gone, they have no killer instinct.

    GSW hater
but sure they’ll win if Durant and Cousins play the last 5 games of the series

  • tmarohl

So Malika Andrews asks Giannis a question in post game. Guessing by his reaction, he must have seen that hit piece that she put together following the game. He got up and left.

Big threes have consistently won championships in the past. There is no disputing that.

The Trail Blazers had no tools to overcome the Warriors, unless Aminu, Turner and Harkless emerged as overnight stars instead of playing like the middling players they were. A 15-17 point lead (once at halftime, if I’m not mistaken) is not exactly insurmountable for Golden State, they’re capable of going on a 13-2 run on anyone. So yeah, that series was essentially over. They could have been up 3-1, but that’s hindsight.

It looks like Curry is back, and if Durant returns mostly healthy they can more or less combine for 60ish points.15-20 points from Thompson and you get 80 points. Draymond and Iguodala will chip in.

I keep hearing Golden State is vulnerable, and in some moments they are, but that team can depend on greatness of two players to carry them through. Curry is a historically pure shooter with unprecedented range. Durant relies on his height and versatility to make it hard for the defense to clamp down on him. And the opposing team often let them off the hook by making silly mistakes.

    1) I don’t think Durant is playing again this year.
    2) This should be a series, at least early, that is designed for Gasol.
    3) Warriors will win, but it will not be easy. Toronto is good, especially when guys like FVV are unconscious from three.

I like Kevin Durant as a person, but that team is Steph’s team. The ping pong effect of players bouncing around the league chasing their prize championships is sickening. I like the good old days of teams earning their way to the finals/championship.

I don’t think Golden State can with without Durant, but if he comes back for game 2 and beyond then Toronto can’t beat them. The runs of points you speak of don’t come at the snap of a finger, they come against teams who panic and try to make up the run by shooting 3’s or bad shots. Its not gong to happen vs Toronto.

Then if Cousins comes back for game 3 and beyond, I’ll be watching baseball or Doc Martin.

Now I get my kicks out of watching Phoenix or Atlanta, Sacramento play because they are still innocent teams who haven’t been bought with a fat wallet.
The NBA needs to reign this in.
I disagree with the person 2 pages ago who said the West is the weak conference.

The finals are here which means instead of a 13 day series the NBA has build in 2 off days thus extending this crap all the way to father’s day,

Interesting stat – Bucks and Raptors were 445 – 445 when Giannis and Kawhi were on the court. The difference was actually FVV :) Or, Giannis not being able to hit a damn free throw.

Interesting he didn’t play Mirotic at all tonight. Also interesting that he didn’t play Snell the whole series. Snell is a good defender, grew up with Kawhi, and has defended him well in the past. The reason the Bucks were good all year was because of their depth. They wore teams out with fresh bodies, he kept shrinking the rotation game after game.

The wall worked in this series. Basically means Giannis has to keep getting better. Wall won’t work if he becomes a better shooter, which is what he has shown some signs of doing as the season progressed.
