O.M. G. Not another one. If you think it’s so easy, feel free to try it.

Not saying it’s easy, but it certainly increases your chances exponentially… I can see maybe a 10 or 15 entry max..But 150 entries is a bit ridiculous..Just my opinion

Those prize pools are far too small… I’d much rather go for 50 or 100k than 2k…..There could still be limits on entries and have a big prize pool…Why not just have more entrants?? I would rather play against a bigger field, knowing that nobody can cover every possible combination…I just think it makes for a more level playing field…In the max entry contests, you know that the best you can hope for on most nights is a tie for first…

Because they don’t believe in logic. I always said that if its a game of skill then the single entry should be worth the most because you need the best lineup out of them all rather than the best lineup out of you 100. They wont do it and it sucks because it would validate dfs more imo.

you will never find a prize pool that large with a 3 entry limit. there are literally not enough DFS players to fill those contests, and the site would lose way too much money if they ever tried to run one.

  • Hardrock1977

and the avg player can’t afford to max entry…That’s a lot of money to shell out at 8 or $9 a pop….Only a handful of people can afford that….ie..the sharks, because they have won multiple big prizes….

You can’t have it both ways my man. Take the Bud Light qualifier’s last night for example. The big one had 57k and somehow the other one only had 46k. How many you think would be playing an $8 SE shot? Maybe 20k? Not that great of a prize pool if you ask me.

So for tonight, not including salary restrictions or players that have 0 playing time there are roughly 273438880 different combinations you could do on FD. If you want to argue core building and obv plays there are an estimated 91390 different combinations you can use to build your lineup. 150 lineups doesn’t cover all the bases. DK i’m not a math genius but because of multiple position eligibility, the variance is most likely higher.

Just quoting for the people that ignore the previous pages.

I do it and I can’t afford. I’m a degenerate and prefer to be broke all the time.

I get your point.. and i’m not naiive..I know these sites are in business to make money, which is why they will never change this policy…I just think it invalidates the industry somewhat as a game of skill…Not that there isn’t skill involved on most nights…But on these 2 game slates, it defintely comes into question. It’s just pretty obvious which players will be the main targets each night…What i’m talking about are the scrubs….Anyone could put the main studs in and then max entry with different combinations of scrubs to get the right combination…Sure, it may not cover EVERY combination, but as i said, it certainly increases your chances…….Anyways, that’s all i have to say about that….

Really hate Gortat’s price on DK

bill has been max entering all season and postseason long and doesn’t have a top 10 finish in a contest over 30k entries this season. im pretty sure he knows more than you about how “easy” it is to win a large GPP by max entering.

  • raymond333

So would you guys go Hayward over Beal? Or Beal? Also Gobert over Gortat or no?

  • Hardrock1977

i def like rozier tonight, as i think mack/exum will be chaulk…I think you will get him at reduced ownership..Before the news of hill going down, i def had mack on my radar..his ownership will most likely be too high now..

On the 9$ Entry this slate had 11 with the winning lineup (150 max entry) out of 39,215
On the 6$ there were 9 with the winning lineup (150 max entry) out of 39,215
On the 1$ Single Entry there were 6 (1 entry) out of 25,882
On the 2$ Single Entry there was 1 (1 entry) out of 9,411

I know it’s not exactly the same, but I look at the difference between multi-entry and single-entry tournaments like the difference between multi-deck and single-deck blackjack. If you’ve been to a casino lately, you’ll have a hard time finding a single deck game, and there’s a reason for that: the odds are less against you than they are in multi-deck. There’s also a similarity because I actually think I have a better chance at single-entry (and single deck).

  • raymond333

I’m trying to decide…I have Hayward in, but I can fit Beal in, and hes projected higher (which I know, doesnt mean anything, especially now)…so not sure to go with Beal or Hayward….then I was going Gortat, but I can fit in Gobert too.

    Any advice?

yeah I want to fade him in case he flops but the only other options are to pay up for Hortford or Gobert. Gobert should be good but I’m not sure Hortford does as good this game for some reason.

  • IronMonkey415

GEORGE HILL ruled out. Jut got the update on the RG app.

  • FidelCashflow

Dante Exum is a really bad player but I will prob roster him now. Mack is ok though so not worried about him.

Obviously I’m not going to change your mind but for a real world example……Monday night I was 100% Lebron and Harden (your 2 highest priced players). I was also extremely heavy on Capela as low priced value play. All 3 went off. I obviously had multiple lineups with all 3. Out of $1200 in, I only got back about $340. If in hindsight I had gone 100% Harden, Lebron, Capela, Anderson and Tucker yeah I would have cleaned up but not even the wealthiest of sharks do that. Even the ones that do, rarely get it right. If you go 100% on 5 of 8 spots, a bad or even mediocre night from one player can kill all your lineups.

  • raymond333

…or maybe Horford for center over Gortat and Gobert? decisions decisions lol

Truthfully, ( and i don’t know him personally of course) Billholler seems like a giant douche…I’ve watched what he does…He acts as though he’s some DFS guru or something, attacking people with his psedo-intelligent quips Anyone who he says something he disagrees with……Seriously dude, you have issues.

and people are entitled to their opinions…But yeah…Billholler is most certainly a flaming, flaming douche…I don’t care who chooses to attack me in his defense….nor do i care what Billholler has to say…I think Billholler has a tiny weenie…Just saying…
