Pretty decent number of games on this Monday preseason slate, so I thought I’d get a strategy thread started.

    Milwaukee Chicago 8:00 PM
    Orlando Memphis 8:00 PM
    Charlotte Dallas 8:30 PM
    Denver Toronto 9:00 PM
    San Antonio Phoenix 10:00 PM
    Utah Portland 10:00 PM

Anyone have thoughts on preseason centers? Is it best just to pick the limited starter like bogut?

Looks like Bogut is now Out per Dwain Price. Had to update my blog.

  • NickyBlueEyes

James Ennis should be starting for the Grizz and playing throughout the game with their lack of SF depth. 17.8 PER last season and a pace up matchup with Orlando.

I think I’m off Hezonja, his usage is pretty low even with other starters off the court and Vogel has said nobody is going to play more than 25 mins.

  • Bigkeydet70

I think ABC will be the only starter i build my team around. with him playing point this year he may get a little extended run. Thoughts on Jokic at center? I know the type of upside he has in 15 min spurts and just maybe denver gives him some time. Might still be musical front court with them though

I’ve been pretty knee-deep in preseason, I went to a few summer league games and have been following the key storylines so I can absolutely give some good help/advice on the slate

Do Tell; as I’m sure I speak for the group in that we’ll take whatever you have to offer… Specifically for me, my Q; If to play a SF from the Spurs, I know he’s active but don’t expect many mins from Kawai, so… is Simmons or Andersen the better play?

Simmons is the best pick from those 3 IMHO.

  • NickyBlueEyes

Simmons and Anderson will be splitting their mins with Kevin Martin and Kawhi. Outside of Murray the other Spur I’m on is David Lee, considering he looks to be the only active PF on their roster tonight.

Having a hard time finding Centers to target. Seems like Dedmon & Acy are the only options

  • Clanning87

Only position I’m stuck on is center. The power forwards are tough to just choose two. I got hibbert right now. I think his minutes will be high

I am thinking of playing Vuch tonight magic are going to be pretty limited in the front Court no Aaron Gordon and I dont expect Ibaka to play. I think the magic are going to experiment some playing both Biyombo and Vuch together in the front court I think he can get decent return in 20-25 mins.

  • Clanning87

Am I the only one who is picking Damien lillard? I think he can put up numbers quick.

  • daneshinault

Should I feel bad with around 10,000 left on the table

  • Clanning87

    No I have 16,000 left

  • NickyBlueEyes

I think my favorite C is Monroe. He’ll be coming off the bench facing Bulls scrubs, Milwaukee has talked about trading him and Kidd hates him so could definitely see him being left out there in a meaningless game.

They’re all going to play similar minutes, so I don’t thnk if like any over the other

If Im playing one of the bulls its gotta be Denzel

Love me some Denzel today. He will be playing some PG which will add to his minutes.

  • Pitch120

Hibbert’s name been floated around. Could be a must play as well given lack of depth and wanting to see what he can do. Think that’s a sneaky lock

  • runrva84

    Is Biyombo not out then?

  • querb

dj stephens is listed as a PG on FD. he’s a PF

far from being a must… imo

  • AWoo

No one is a must play today, considering there are 20 players on each team’s roster in preseason.

  • daneshinault

    Thoughts on Fred VanVleet?

  • NickyBlueEyes

The words “Hibbert” and “lock” should not be associated unless you’re referring to him being a lock to tank your lineup. I wouldn’t roster him if the coach said he’s gonna play the full 48. He’d still end up with 4 & 5 with one miscredited block.

Who does anyone like at SG?

I was thinking along the lines of Henson. Im almost certain that Plumlee will start tonight, then first off the bench will be Monroe or Henson ?

  • NickyBlueEyes

Monroe first off the bench. Just a hunch he gets more run tonight with the trade showcase/Kidd hate factor. Gotta love his 21 PER vs Bulls bench scrubs. Dude can put up a double double in a heartbeat.
