    NBA Projection Spreadsheets

How do you guys collect your data? What stats do you use? Does anyone share their projection systems?

I’ve had mine setup for awhile but it seems very inconsistant. Looking to switch it up and curios what everyone finds that is working and not.

Mine was very dependant on past performance against opponent and I got very mixed results.

    Thanks for the help.

Everyone is different. Being dependant on performance vs. opponent is too small of a sample size. Also you would only want to use the current year for that stat imo.

I like to break it down to points per minute based on the current situation (home/road, days rest, etc.) and go from there.

My current projection system would record the fantasy points scored vs. that opponent for the current year. I take that number divided by the minutes played in those games. I then project how many minutes I think the player will play the current night and multiply that by the past fantasy ppm…then average out my projection with a couple other sites….sometimes really good…sometimes really bad. Looking for something more consistent.

Thanks for the input. How would you include home/road into a calculation?

I think FP/min, Offensive usage, and pace of play are some things that can’t hurt to look at.

I should have said fantasy points per minute.

As far as including home/road, usage, and pace go it’s really up to you to weigh them until you feel good with it. I have not invested enough time in mine to really tell you what is more important. How many fp/min the opponent gives up is always a big factor though.
