id pick a guard to win the skills not a big man…. too slow usually…

same with dunk contest they always screw the big men becasue their dunks dont look as cool

Joe harris is too short to win the 3pt contest IMO

Last year I had a bet on the 3pt challenge and the Dunk contest….the bet was for $2 per point

he got to draft first in the dunk contest and took Dennis Smith Jr... i took Donovan Mitchell and Larry Nance… and he got whoever the 4th guy was…

so DSJ doesnt make the finals somehow (he was a big favorite) and i realized all the sudden i had the only guys left dunking… first dunk was a 50…thats $100… next dunk was like a 48 thats a $96…. next thing i know im up $450 on a friendly dunk contest lol….it got really out of control fast..

Last year my bet on the All-Star game was sick… if you have any friends in real life…. try this bet to make the game fun… you draft players in snake order… AKA i pick 1st, you pick 2nd and 3rd, i pick 4th and 5th, etc…

$2/point…. so at the end of the game if my team scores 200 points and yours score 150 i won by 50 points x $2 point = $100.

    Bonus points:

MVP: Player who wins the MVP wins $100

Most rebounds: Player with the most rebounds wins $50
Most assists: Player with the most assists wins $50
Most 3’s: Player with the most 3s wins $50
Most blocks: Player with the most blocks wins $50
Most steals: Player with the most seals wins $50

Last player to score a basket each quarter: $50 (makes end of quarter interesting)
Blackjack: Player closest to 21 points without going over wins $50…. doubled to $100 if he hits ‘21’ Blackjack exactly
Lucky 13: $50 if a guy scores exactly 13 points
Donut Man: If you have a player who does not score a single point you win $100

There were a bunch more but those are the main ones i remember being fun to follow as the game went on. i would say put a rule in that the player has to at least play to be eligible for the $100… someone like jimmy butler didnt play last game which made that one a little stupid to have to fork over $100 for that… luckily someone offset him lamarcus aldridge i think maybe so it didnt actually payout….

Also, I’d recommend having 3-4 people play instead of 2… with 2 people a lot of the bets offset like i win one, you win the next, etc… and you have so many players on your team it makes it a little confusing..

anyway.. i got really lucky last year… i think Kemba walker or damian lillard hit blackjack and lucky 13 for me…..walked away winning over $1,000 over the course of the weekend i was hitting everything…we really just made a friendly bet to watch the games thinking they’d all end up off-setting but somehow i just started winning almost everything

After that i ran an NBA blackjack legaue every night for the rest of the year i had 4-5 people per night and we’d draft 2 players from each TNT game and play blackjack.. it’s a great straegy game becasue you’re like fading Curry assuming he’ll go over 21 points and taking klay, beal, or redick…guys like that…. then all the sudden Otto POrter gets 16 at halftime and you’re like dang man that might be tough to beat if he doesnt go over….

it’s awesome when it’s like a $250 pot and you’ve got JJ redick sitting on 19 going to the FT line…. because if he hits 21 exactly (BLACKJACK!) the pot doubles to $500… that happened once and then there was a technical foul called with like 30 seconds left on jordan clarkson for throwing the ball at someone on the 76ers after a layup and Redick went and hit another FT to go to 22 and bust lol….

DFS is not nearly as fun as NBA blackjack honestly.

kristaps won in 2017, and jokic is way more skilled. collins had really good dunks tonight. joe harris has a low energy repeatable shot and good odds

steph is gonna be partying til the sun comes up in his hometown. he can still win it in those conditions, but he’s the favorite, meaning the payout isn’t as good that it’s worth betting on him

How did that work for you?

I still profited. Lol. 240 in 248 out. Kinda surprised by that. I imagine if Mitchell was in my core I could have competed up top

Cool man. Atleast you got your money back plus a small profit. I didn’t fair as well. Good luck tonight!
