you guys ever notice that it’s roughly the same 10 people on this site that routinely are against DFS and believe it’s all a shady crooked business??? I’ve been reading the threads for quite some time now and no matter how many differnt topics you click it’s the same people saying these things…I won’t name them but I bet you all know who I’m talking about, rarely play yet feel the need to tell us how bad DFS is and how we are oblivious as to how we are being played by these companies… I don’t have to name them cuz those ten will post here any minute now..I’m not talking about the people that play and have valid points about scripting, mass entry GPPs, Lu sharing/selling..I’m talking about the ones that preach on every topic about how illegal and corrupt DFS is…We should actually never respond to them cuz then they will get bored and go away cuz all they want to do is argue…just had to vent and get that out…

Let’s see who responds 1st..I know who my money is on…oh wait how that’s gambling so I’m sure I’ll get a lecture about that too..

I think it’s time for bed lol. You’ve been all over the big Ag thread and constantly responding. Maybe a break is in order. Let the chips fall where they may

  • jimmyrad

I get that they feel like it was a mistake to delete the first Ethan thread, and it was, but to go from that to letting any nut spout anything they want, over and over, no matter how wrong or anti-DFS seems like a big over-correction.

I mean this forum right now is a negative for DFS. It’s an advertisement not to play, not to trust the sites, not to trust the games. I don’t get how RG can be organizing protests and letter writing campaigns, all while the face of their company, the MB, is a total cesspool.

Seems like a relatively easy thing to fix.

Are you suggesting RG should up the ante on censorship or they need to do a better job creating a “Safe Space” for it’s users. Heaven forbid fragile eyes and egos have to read about the negatives in DFS.

Bulletin boards should only be censored when someone is posting private and personal information and only then. When a community silences it’s members for a view or opinion that is unpopular the entire community loses.

I didn’t register to be a member of an advertising platform, and I’m not here to encourage “fish” to give me their money.

What is it exactly you think this forum should be?

Could not agree more, and this requires people to accept that there will be a lot of stupidity/irrationality/ignorance floating around. If a post does not merit a response, don’t respond. Why do people have such a hard time ignoring useless posts, whether they’re from legit trolls or people who just want to make statements without engaging in discussions?

People speak out to convey they do not agree with how things are going within an industry we all love.

    Silence lends consent.

Let’s not lump negative and conspiracy theorists in the same category. The “conspiracy theorists” have been proven right time and time again. Lets not forget. I agree, there is a certain group of people against DFS, most of whom suck, but keep playing and keep losing their $$. Send them the link you visited the other day. lol

So you really just want RG to be a shill for the DFS sites? If that were to happen then the outcry would be, and should be much worse.

The idea that RG allows the good and the bad to be brought to light is what gives it credibility. I know a lot of negative has been deleted but from what I see it’s only when it’s unsubstantiated rumors, people taking shots directly at other people or someone obviously just trying to start trouble. Other than that I applaud RG for allowing the good and bad to be posted. The Ethan thread would be the exception.

The industry has problems, hiding them or lying about them to get what we want is no better than a rouge AG making uninformed decisions to better his own career.

  • kellykip

He can correct me if I’m wrong, but I didn’t take what Jimmyrad wrote as him calling for the boards content to be permanently censored. I think his angle is: you’re free to show up to court wearing a tiedye shirt with an image of a guy smoking a spliff with the words “I do what I want”, but it might be more prudent to show up wearing a suit for a while.

All against DFS should be IP banned from forums! I don’t need to be told what to do with my money. I’m so sick of the Holier than thou people yryingn to force their lifestyle on me, and tell me what I can and can not do with my money. Playing DFS doesn’t hurt me or anyone else. There’s plenty of ******* up **** they can be worried about. I hope the NY attorney general chokes on air and dies

If you don’t enjoy DFS, why would you even come here?

  • julieduke33

Oh I don’t want people sensored, everyone has their right to state their opinion..I just get frustrated with the constantly negative people against DFS..

And Putz I thought you might take this post the wrong way( was going to mention that in original post but didn’t want to bring names up)… I’m not talking about you, you like a lot of others have real issues and really want DFS to stay around , I may not always agree with you but you aren’t the anti DFS guys I was referring too…it’s the haters that don’t play that aggravate me….

And Revolution you are correct I need to stay away from these topics for a bit cuz it just aggravates me to much.. I’m going to try to stick to the cfb/CBB/NHL boards and away from this crap

I’m a little disappointed that people will go after other people, but won’t step up regarding things the sites have clearly done wrong because the only possible end result of doing so is the end of dfs (or so they seem to think).

Nobody here sent dfs down this path. The companies did this to themselves. I haven’t seen any “death to dfs” posts, but I have seen a lot of “fix dfs” posts. If the sites had been a little less greedy and a lot more controlled/secure, we wouldn’t be having most of these discussions, but you go ahead and continue to blame random forum poster for the downfall of dfs.

From what I can tell, the “fix DFS” posters are the ones who with one peek at the profile are average players or worse who seem to want the “if I cant win, then you shouldn’t be able to!” mentality and the “I sat here for years waiting for all of the corruption to be unraveled!” My question to you is how do you wrap those ideas into the fix DFS category when it is clear their sole idea for DFS is to see it be taken down.

When you have problems within the industry, which it seems hundreds have popped up all of a sudden, yes it is helpful to point them out. But this is also a time where DFS is on the verge of reaching the point where it will become under attack via every state run by casinos. There are widespread problems, and there are singular problems which do nothing but fan the flames. A singular problem – there was a thread recently posted that claimed condia was cheating and using scripts to enter private contests. The contest was on public instead of private, yet this idea that experts are using both sites as a racketeering scheme and controlling all of the money is short-sighted and immature.

I would also like to point out that some of the top DFS players have given back to the industry, albeit with a profit motive. Dan Gaspar, Dave Loughran, Dave Kitchen, Mattek run FanDuel. Dink, Leone, Chris run Roto. Al does Bootcamp. There are picks as well as information that is available to everyone if you spend a few dollars. My question is, if you want to become as good as the pros and see this as an income-based activity, why don’t you treat it as such? Anyone who goes into investing will seek advice from reading magazines, recommendations and other articles across the Internet and print publications. Develop your own ideas and research and process and eventually your win % should improve drastically. Even this site, with RotoAcademy, has been enormously helpful to me in gaining roster construction advice.

there is no reason for anything in DFS to change. And I say this to you all as someone who had lost really badly in NBA DFS the past two weeks.

My analysis of my losing is because I am not ready for NBA and too focused on NFL. Analysis over.

I do not need change, multi entry/scripts do not affect my performance, and neither do percentages owned of any players. This past Tuesday night I thought I was being extra clever and using Reggie Jackson in every lineup at 8K from my analysis, and he was under 5% owned. He sucked, couldn’t get it going, and I lost everywhere…..EVERYWHERE. And what did I do the next day? I didn’t try to blame a soul for it…..it was all my fault, ME ME ME!!! Fanduel was not resonsible in any way for me losing so badly, and they are never responsible for any of YOU losing or winning either.

The websites are running perfectly, it is a fair game all around – I know this because when I lose, I lose fair and square due to my own stupidity. And when I win, I win fair and square too due to my genius (though it is not always 100%).

  • srolleDFS

yea, there are alot of people on these boards and more generally that are very angry at dfs. its a real problem that the industry is going to have to deal with.

some people who were early winners, but couldnt keep up as play got better, have become very bitter. instead of taking responsibility for the fact that they just aren’t winning anymore, they find other excuses besides themselves. its a very natural human reaction.

there is non-issue after non-issue that is brought up by this crowd. i mean, the amount of silliness that was dedicated to the fact that a multi-entry tournament was accidentally labeled single entry in the fanduel lobby was beyond ridiculous.

it is definitely true that ethan would have become a national villain if the trolling population hadnt kept bringing it up. all experienced dfs people knew it was a simple mistake, but when you have “respected” members of the community like fish cake king harping on and on during his shows about it, it created a situation where the mainstream media picked it up and ran with that. as if no one has made a simple mistake before. that trolling behavior is why we are in this crisis. on twitter yesterday, you had people gloating about dfs maybe becoming illegal. im sorry, if you are cheering against dfs at this moment, you clearly do NOT care about dfs. i think the people doing this are actually resentful of daily fantasy, maybe because it has cost them money, maybe for other reasons. and kind of like an abusive friend, you claim to care about something that you constantly trash. its not cool, and honestly i wish people like that would just quit already. they add nothing and just ruin people’s days with their negativity. (no putz, im not talking about you.)

last night on twitter i was told to go polish my resume by “fish cake king”. it was weird, because im not a full time dfs player. but if you’re seriously gloating about people not being able to play dfs anymore, you prolly shouldnt be lying and saying that you “care” about dfs. maybe you liked when people didnt know that minutes were important in nba, and you were the one taking their money. but at this point, maybe its just quitting time.

dfs is just a hobby, if you dont like it, just move on with your life. go do model trains or some shit.
