you guys ever notice that it’s roughly the same 10 people on this site that routinely are against DFS and believe it’s all a shady crooked business??? I’ve been reading the threads for quite some time now and no matter how many differnt topics you click it’s the same people saying these things…I won’t name them but I bet you all know who I’m talking about, rarely play yet feel the need to tell us how bad DFS is and how we are oblivious as to how we are being played by these companies… I don’t have to name them cuz those ten will post here any minute now..I’m not talking about the people that play and have valid points about scripting, mass entry GPPs, Lu sharing/selling..I’m talking about the ones that preach on every topic about how illegal and corrupt DFS is…We should actually never respond to them cuz then they will get bored and go away cuz all they want to do is argue…just had to vent and get that out…

Let’s see who responds 1st..I know who my money is on…oh wait how that’s gambling so I’m sure I’ll get a lecture about that too..

And the risks listed are quite laughable. It’s naive to think someone would only use this information from top players to play those lineups themselves on other sites vs. selling it to people who have the means to pay for those lineups, particularly before lock. Catching someone using several top players’ lineups on other sites is easier than determining whether they are getting $$ from an outsider, without the help of law enforcement.

I was losing my but after I won a few hundred my second day playing for the next few months. But right before the all star break things started clicking and the research and time I put in started paying off.

So you made all your money in 2 months of a baseball season and you think your success ISN’T based on positive variance? Shouldn’t you consider whether maybe you just got lucky before you go up in stakes?

I love DFS. I am in NY and I would be terribly sad if it ended. I was able to deposit money for fan duel through a proxy but then realized if I did win I would never get paid so I signed up for Draft Kings.

With that said this past weeks performance is a perfect example of how luck determines a big day. The difference is luck is accounted for by pros submitting multiple line ups using bigger bank roles. They need to change some rules on max amount of multiple entries.

You would be very foolish if you don’t believe fan duel/draft kings now that the multi lineups is the bread and butter for their business. Changes need to be made and yes pot sizes will go down but more people playing with less money will have a chance to win more often.

It’s was pretty obvious to me the more time went on the more I was winning. Either way it’s not like I’m jumping into 300$ games as soon as the season starts. You are acting like I only played 2 months last year and that’s not the case. I played everyday during the MLB season so I had a full six months to experience the ups a downs of variance. I’m actually probably a little to responsible with my bankroll now which as I stated earlier cost me money when I was consistently finishing high in the moonshot and other low dollar games but would have done much better if I was playing higher dollar games. Im sorry but I wasn’t getting lucky for three months straight. I also don’t think I can just put thousands in play everyday next year and atomically win. I know variance plus bad picks can make you lose your bankroll fast. But again I’m a responsible player and I know when to cut back if I start losing. I think it’s laughable to say someone is winning only because of variance. I have never had a win over 450-500$ in one night but I’ve won a few hundred many many times so I’d say that’s pretty consistent and not just based on one lucky night, week or month.

No one is saying that. DFS is a game that relies on a combination of luck and skill, like lots of other activities. Take a look at this link, the skill-vs-luck compendium about half way down the page.

You seem to be making the argument that DFS is pure skill, which is false. It’s much closer to poker such that you can make the optimal play and still lose.

Really? Cause that’s what you posted in your first response to me. I don’t even know why I responded to your ridiculous post in the first place.
