BREAKING: Nevada Gaming Control Board bans daily fantasy sports websites from Nevada. Says it’s gambling Story coming @reviewjournal #RJnow

DK let the 1%ers make the rules. Whatever they want, they get from them.
Kickers add too much variance so the 1%ers don’t want them. No problem. Gone.
There should have been way more restrictions on level of buyins or total number of contests someone can play. There is no way a Condia-Max-Ram-Jizz type should be blasting max entries in quarter and dollar games. Easy fix to set some rules, but that would slow down how fast they could gobble up the moneys.
DK even gave these guys lavish gifts straight from the rake. Getting court-side seats to Clippers games isn’t cheap. Often they didn’t win these, they just got them as gifts. These guys not only got to make the rules, they got many bonuses on top.
DK is way too buddy-buddy with them and some cases just are them apparantly. Clear conflict of interest with DK employees getting black out drunk with top pros using our rake. DK has not been a good champion for the industry.
As long as no one is taking a “rake” all Fantasy games played amongst friends is legal.
Well, goodbye everyone
Porn 'Stache --- FanDuel Sunday Million (1st for $200,000)
2014 FanDuel WFFC Finalist
2013 StarStreet NFL Playboy Mansion Finalist
There was no mention of “rake” in their notice only that they would be considered illegal sports pools. There was also direct verbiage about wagering on the collective performance of individuals in sporting events that would definitely overlap to season long.
+1 DraftKings is not doing the industry any favors, thanks guys.
Holy insecurity Batman!
Since when did income inequality become a DFS issue too? Why can’t people just make peace with the fact that somebody does something better than they do and they get to reap the rewards? Tell me Mr. DFS socialist, what should we be happy with? If the money is spread around equally, we all lose to the rake. Sigh.
Allow me translate:
DFS needs to be changed until I’m making a lot of money! I’m entitled to it because I was born. I don’t want to quit, you should just make it harder for the people that are good at it. That seems like the most logical and fair solution.
Only part you left out is, there would be nothing left to win. They might win 90% of the money but without the money they put in what is left to win? Take away the sharks and their scripting and how big do you think the prize pools would be?
Big enough for me.
Really? Because the prize pools at Aces are about what would be left yet I don’t see you playing over there?
It would be perfectly fine for those people who play cash games
And the rest be damned? You think they make more money on the large pool GPP’s or the $1 H2H’s?
You think people will just stop playing? This is an addiction for plenty of the big time players.
This
But they haven’t…
I definitely make more in cash games.
pretty sure the sites are happy to BREAK EVEN on the BIG GPPS, cash game = bread and butter.
I just watched Senator Bob Menedez on OTL on ESPN. He doesn’t want to shut down DFS. He said his goal was to make sure the consumer is using a fair product and regulations may be necessary to ensure that. Oh, and FD and DK refused to come on air to answer questions.
+1
Which means his goal is to maximize revenue for the government (or his state), while businesses prefer to avoid paying fees/taxes associated with the like that can be 20%+ of their bottom line.
Would you prefer these sites to do whatever they want with no oversight whatsoever ?
FD will make $747,125 on the Sunday Million alone. If they take 20 cents per $1 H2H game they need 149,425 games to equal that. Who do you think posts the vast majority of H2H games? The sharks.
You guys need these people and whatever else they bring to the table or you got nothing left. Nobody gets it.
Do you guys think this whole not getting out in front of this is the real issue? Reminds me of when a goalie comes out to stop a breakaway player from scoring a goal as opposed to sitting back and allowing a penalty shot type opportunity for a goal. Lame analogy i know
Yep I’d say you do need to build better lineup’s cause I’m having no problems finishing high in tournaments. I played everyday this baseball season and if you put in the work and know how Gpp’s work you absolutely can win on a consistent basis. You’re just another example of someone who doesn’t win so they would rather think it’s rigged then admit they aren’t very good.
They already pay affiliates 30%+ of there bottom line, just lower affiliate fees and call it a day.
Who will provide valuable oversight?
