    Hi guys!

I’m new to daily fantasy but I’m getting addicted to it. I’ve played for a while using mainly my “gut feeling” but now I’d like to get a little bit more serious. Yesterday I won a few contests even though I had used Getzlaf on my lineups. It was a waking call. I should start using some resources to help me with my strategies.

    - Website/App to get alerts on starting goalies, injuries, line combinations. – Website/Tool to edit/submit multiple lineups (nhl) – Website to get stats/projections. Maybe create you own projections? – Resources on how to scrape/import nhl data and salaries in your own database – Lineup optimizer or how to do it in EXCEL – Is it worth it to pay for rotopass or other daily fantasy stats sites

If some of you could share the resources you are using I would greatly appreciate! :)

    Many thanks in advance!

im in the same boat as you are having trouboe getting the right info on lines and such. I have just used daily faceoff and let wing lock . The starting line up listed on this site are wrong or maybe the right ones and daily face off is wrong . IM in same boat as you are cant find good info to make good picks

Use daily faceoff/LWL for lines. They are a good secondary source of information (follow each team’s 2 beat writers on twitter if you want to get it from the primary source). War-on-ice and stats.hockeyanalysis.com have a lot of statistical information for you to dive into.

Regarding “optimization” NHL is a low scoring sport with a lot of variance which makes it very result dependent, especially on fanduel. You can’t make projections or optimal lineups like you can in high scoring sports(such as NBA) that dont rely on 90% of the fantasy points coming from the 2 or 3 goals each team might score. If you want to try making your own projections based off whatever stats you choose there are some excel tutorials on solver and other methods of making an “optimal” lineup in excel.
