Is there anything out there like the Draft Best Ball tournament this year?

  • bigez952

This game is almost over and I still can’t see any lineups using the app which is pretty ridiculous. Hopefully they get this fixed by Sunday as seeing scores only without knowing the teams isn’t a fun experience.

  • Straightfire118

Damn was hoping Cooper Kupp would get more than 14.3, and yes I agree not being able to see everyone’s team is VERY annoying.

  • Rickytango13

I was pretty scared that Akers was going to break the slate in the 1st quarter.

  • Ndepompei

My team in the milly has no depth because of injuries but I’m the only guy with Taylor, Tyreek, Keenan or waller so could end up real nice if a couple of them have big games

I hope DraftKings has better payout structures next year. The structure DRAFT used last season was much better.

I liked how Draft you got paid more for a 4th place finish and not advancing then finishing 12th. DK is dumb where you can finish 2nd by 0.1 points and still get paid the same as a dead last finish.

What they should do first and foremost is pay a decent amount of money to people who finished in first place after 13 weeks. That says a lot more about your team than trying to win two consecutive weeks, which is based more on luck (especially at this point in this season).

There are 3 more weeks needed to win

First Gibson this week and now Gaskin. This of course after losing several other RBs on all my teams that made it through. It’s possible I might have a team or two with only one RB left…..

  • jleit13

On one of my milly teams I must of went zero RB. I have D. Adams, tyreek hill, DK Metcalf, Calvin Ridley, Justin Jefferson and chase claypool. Pretty solid stable of wrs. Obviously when you load up on those studs you need to get lucky with your rbs. Coming into the week it looked bleak bc my best rb is Antonio Gibson and he will obviously miss atleast this week. But, I have cam Akers so thats a great start. But as I looked at the rest of the team, my only other rb with a realistic chance to play a little was mark fricken Ingram (not sure why i drafted him). When I drafted this particular time it must of been when the thought was DeAndre Washington would be CEH direct backup so I was drafting him late in alot of drafts. Well what do you know, all of a sudden he is pretty much the only RB left in Miami and look who they play. A little revenge narrative? Lol. So long story short, maybe I can get lucky af at rb and my stud wrs have a day. Good luck today everyone.

Right, but in the final week you’re getting good money regardless of finishing position. You still have to win two weeks of 12 team leagues, which is very difficult to do. If you get knocked out this week or next week, you barely get any money despite coming this far.

  • yisman

My only $20 team left standing has the following RBs:

Kamara, Latavius Murray, Swift, Justin Jackson, Pollard, Tarik Cohen

Swift and Jackson have been out for what feels like forever. Cohen of course barely played at all before being ruled out for the season.

So I’ve been going for a long time with just Kamara and two backup RBs who obviously don’t get a ton of snaps. In hindsight, I wish I hadn’t drafted Kamara’s backup on a Kamara team.

  • jleit13

Yes, this is where best ball differs from season long. In your case you need Kamara to get hurt for Murray to be valuable for the most part. But if Kamara gets hurt your down your number 1 pick. When your drafting best ball teams your just going for upside so taking a handcuff from a opposing teams rb is the way to go.

  • yisman

yeah I’m not going to advance

I have three TEs. All played this week. Their scores all fell in the 4.2-5.4 range.

  • Ndepompei

Gonna be a stressful Monday night have 3 $3 alive and Chubb in all 3. 10 from him to advance 1, 13.5 for 2 and 24 and all 3 get through

  • Rickytango13

I only won one of 8 $3 2nd rounders (presumably, Chubb would need to beat hunt by like 30 and score like 40 to beat me) and no $20 2nd rounders. Will fuller can go screw himself, as can whoever broke dak’s ankle. Oh well 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • jleit13

Damn, finished 2nd in one of my milly 2nd rounders by 1 freaking point. Had Baker Mayfield and Kareem Hunt so obviously if that game goes to OT I probably get there. I also had 3 other teams finish 2nd or 3rd within 10 points of first. I got one $3 team thru but overall it was a underwhelming week. The antonio gibson injury really hurt me and although many of my stud wrs had good games, none really had great games.

Sorry to hear man, I made it to Round 3 in the $20 Best Ball Millymaker thanks to Chubb and Hunt. Who would’ve thought that stacking the Browns RBs would work but I just wanted a different lineup. Needed about 40 from both on DK and got that at the start of the 4th, figured I was an underdog for that outcome before the game.

what do the salaries by the players mean? I thought maybe draft position but my lowest number is 19.

  • bigez952

After week 1 of the playoffs I am not a fan of this DK format at all compared to DRAFT’s last year. I had a team put up 2101 and win my group by 250 points. In the playoffs this team put up a solid 175 but ran into a buzz saw of a 191. My other advancing team flopped but it only took a 161 to win that group.

It just doesn’t feel right to have a team do so well all year to make $8 on $3. DRAFT was nice as in the playoffs the top 3 of 12 advanced and you got paid more for 4th than 12th when being eliminated which also makes sense.

I am guessing those are just random numbers to sort/ assign the player pool. D. Cook has the $1 salary on my team so it isn’t draft position as he never went #1 overall. I also have Kelce at $5 and Mahomes at $7 so maybe it has them sorted by yearly points or something as all my good players are low and the ones who have been out half the year are $200+.

  • periewe

I put in a bunch of $3 and the one team I moved on with:

    Tua, Cousins, Stafford
Henry, Robinson, Taylor, Ingram, Gurley, Breida, Love
Adams, Beasley, Landry, Marvin Jones, Fitz, Kupp, Bisi Johnson
    Hockenson, Gesicki, McDonald

    Couldn’t get thru on a $20.
