I’m always excited for football to start again, but the Hall of Fame Game is always so boring.

  • AVivier

DK added the preseason slate for next week. The millymaker will be a $20 buy-in as usual because they have satellites for it.

  • Stangs13

Doubled my money on FanDuel and draftkings. Not great but I’ll take it anyway. Still shocked how many people play guys that are starters in week one of preseason

  • Danielv22

I cashed my two FD lineups w griffin, Jackson, parkey, Bray, and periman/grant LUs. Looks like the winners had Hurst and wims and those three QBs.

Amazed that Jackson played the entire 2nd half.

  • Danielv22

    Nall, mizzle, perriman were busts.

I think Nall was great, actually. The result wasn’t good but the process was just fine. He got short-yardage work that could’ve led to a TD as easily as for any other RB in the game. He got 3 targets. He led the Bears in opportunities, tied with Wims, and if you’d told me Wims would get 10 targets I would’ve told you you’re daft. The target distribution on the Bears was absolutely insane.

Anyhow, Nall was a good process play as far as I’m concerned. I feel good about that. Thompson I probably should’ve avoided. Wasn’t much upside there and Edwards led the backfield. Looked like he deserved to. Scott was always a dart throw. Shame about that awful pick being thrown behind him.

The big process gap for me was QB time shares. Granted that was bound to be treacherous, but I didn’t believe Jackson would get a whole second half, and they’d spell RG3 with Woodrum at the end of the 2nd quarter.

Bray wound up being the CHI QB to own, though there I wonder if it had something to do with Daniel being a dumpster fire in the first half. By the time Bray was on the scene, passing was the order of the day. All he had to do was complete the throws. He did a better job at that than his mentor.

Went 2-0 with my predictions (80% that BAL wins SU, 75% that no more than three RB/WR/TEs score double-digit DKFP). It’s a moral victory. That and my H2H win over a rookie player who only got points from Jackson seem like nice moral victories. It’s more than can be said for my GPP entries.

    Onward to Preseason Week 1!

Just want to add that DK really dropped the ball. Adding DST and Ks without many people I’m sure even knowing or having any reason to expect the random change. Making the change in a game where playing 2 D’s was advantageous. And not even having one of the kickers eligible.

That was all around shitty. Nobody wants that. Do better DK!

Played 18$ won 39. Wish I had played more after seeing so many ppl playing starters. If it’s stays this way with the edge we seem to have on preseason play count me in for tomorrow night

You might have to wait a week.

I donated $50 tonight. But I’m just priming the pump. Have you heard that expression used before? Because I haven’t heard it. I mean, I just…I came up with it a couple of days ago and I thought it was good. It’s what you have to do.

I’m glad football is back. Congrats to those who made a few bucks tonight

  • Zieg30

Finished 73rd, 6 points out of first, with Justin Tucker, in the big one. That one hurts (especially because there was ample opportunity to see that he wasn’t playing), though there weren’t too many players not on my roster who got 6+ points. Likely would have needed to choose Gus Edwards, who I had 25% exposure to.

  • ElSlappo

I finished 29th in the $5 with Lashley being the turd in my punchbowl. Wish I had made more LU’s w/ both defenses

  • Kylerusher

Anyone making a thread about next week’s preseason slate. Got my 100 plus beat writers to look through but always good hearing others point of views on who to play

  • yisman

I didn’t even know DK added kickers for showdown.

I wound up with 44.95. 2.8 for Nall and 0 for Scott hurt.

You want half your lineup to consist of defense and kickers? I’m sorry, that’s just stupid.

actually the kicker wasnt a good play. Also , this is preseason where the snaps are spread out a million ways with position players. I liked the defenses and they made me money. It wont be so defensive heavy in the regular season

The highest scoring players were 1) defense and 2) defense. It’s not looking back on it, it was discussed ahead of time too. That leaves a whopping 4 player lineup to make differences.

It’ll be different in the regular season, but things like the this game, where snaps are so spread out it makes it stupid. You have to play the boring lineup or lose money.

And I’m saying that as someone who played all boring lineups and made money.

I am very thankful for the people who didnt want to be boring. As obvious as it might have seemed to some, those defenses were pretty low owned in GPP

The next preseason slate is gong to be a pain in the ass to research. I may just fade and go on to the Friday one game slate.

I wouldn’t blame DK here… blame the Hall of Fame Game. It’s literally the worst game of the year every year. It has the least amount of quality players and the least amount of players who actually play a decent amount. Kind of tough to make a good slate when the game itself is so poor.
