Doing 4 FD $9 Showdowns. MVP – Kamara, Herbert x2, Kelley. Lutz in one, Badgley in one, Guyton in one, no Brees, Tre or Cook, Lurray in one (faded Lamara thinking Murray has a shot to vulture 2 TDs and Kamara will be 90%). Henry in 3, Manny in 4. Am I missing something contrarian?

  • monarch

Full disclosure I am putting Keenan Allen on almost every team I make. I don’t care if Lattimore shadows him or not, they will scheme him open.

P.S. I’m with a previous poster. All in on Antonio Gates!

Not that it effects my lineup construction, but i thought it was funny in Kelley’s player bio they said the Saints run D was bottom tier when its been one of the best this year and the past few years. Leading the fish to their demise.

I’m taking a contrarian approach with my 20 lineups tonight and going all in on the passing games and fading the run games. Let’s go unexpected shootout!

Only cause I like ya. That’s the approach I’m taking and I’m the game-script cooler

    Wait…What…Why??

Saints have basically shut down WR’s, minus Lazard this year. Shifting off Allen, or going “underweight” seems to fit your style and what you’re presenting.

I will literally have 0 Kamara in the Captain. I have little to no shot winning if he’s the lock-button there anyway. Only playing $100 so might as well have some fun with it and…

Same. Allen can beat him, I’m not worried about the matchup. I fully expect to get burned by Kelly tonight as I can’t find any reason to pay his high price.

He is kinda hard to shut down. 40 targets last three games independent of game script. Just a lot of ways to get there and I think the Chargers will be forced to abandon the running game. He could have nothing heading into the fourth quarter and still find a way to be optimal.

Has anyone ever taken down a showdown solely using all 50k in salary? I’m guessing no…

he better hold on to the ball if he wants that title

I keep hearing about Kelley fumbling 2 weeks in a row. The fumble from last week should be on Herbert, he placed the ball on his shoulder pad and I thought I read somewhere the coach also mentioned this.

  • zeeshan2

I think I prefer Jackson over Kelly because of the pass work he will get. Thoughts?

So, 12 targets 7 catches and 60 yards?

Both are bad plays on paper. Wouldn’t be surprised either way. I like Jackson slightly more, because it’s basically a wash and Jackson is cheaper.

I did not see that but he’s one of my MVP and I think he’ll be real low owned and could be that RB that pops 2-3 TDs that happens in MNF once a month as a big road dog. He’s only in 1 of my 4. But I hear ya.

Maybe more…basically an extension of the running game that I expect not to work. I get caught up with game scripts. I do not believe the Chargers can run. I do not believe Herbert will be allowed to have time to throw with the blitz plus two offensive linemen out. That leads me to like Allen, Henry and that deep dart throw I mentioned earlier with Ekeler as a security blanket being out. Most of all it makes me like the Saints defense. I have this game a little lower scoring than most would think. Also really like Will Lutz.

Maybe with a backup QB and the starting QB got hurt, otherwise you need to leave some if you don’t want to split 100 ways!

I get it. I think we see the game similar. Could turn into a shootout. Could turn into a dominant Saints game. I do expect the Chargers to be playing catch up one way or another. Saints defense is strong, and they have those games from time to time where they just show up and completely shut another team down.

I just like how you kicked off comments about Lattimore on Allen, like you had concerns, but are still heavy Allen and I know you like to find reasons to fade chalk.

  • monarch

I do. I also have some 5×1 onslaughts with just Henry. You probably landed on something similar along the way I imagine.

There was insane edge at first with beat writers not allowed in practices, so there were a lot of late news just before game time that people didn’t verify. The edge got smaller as playoffs were advancing, because those people didn’t play anymore. I had a great start but got crushed after that.

The NFL people are way more informed. I have seen scratched expensive players 35%+ in NHL, but we’d never see that in NFL.

    How did you do?

So so in a smaller sample size I’d say pretty close to avg for me…my cash lineups hit a lot but never took a down a GPP :/ Good Luck tonight!
