You would want a Chiefs receiver in flex as well with a Cpt Kelce. Really try for that correlation

I dont follow. You will have to explain that logic to me. Are you saying if Kelce smashes another KC reciever also smashes?

Also these defenses may be inflated.

Ravens have played Texans and Browns. Chiefs have played the Texans in first game sans Hopkins and a rookie QB in his first ever game.

Ravens defense is good every year. KC’s is most likely just average

I love these DK promos spend 30.00 to win 25 IF Jackson scores a TD…I wouldn’t spend 30 to win 25 in a horse race I am certainly not going to do it for football.

You track that ? Or get it from a service ?
I’d like that kind of info

    It was posted on oneweekseason

Could have have also gone through resultsDB here and checked too though. Just would have taken longer of course.

Has nothing to do with Kelce. Has everything to do with Mahomes. If Mahomes has a performance that is optimal then as his teams QB he would have almost certainly elevated a second option on the Chiefs.

If you play a Chiefs receiver at CPT you pretty much need to play Mahomes and then another Chiefs pass catcher.

If you go Kelce at CAPT, and Mahomes in FLEX, then add another Chiefs receiver, which makes some sense. Not sure here though.

This showdown is kind of tricky with all the pricey big name skill players. I think there’s a clear path to a Kelce CAPT with CEH and no Mahomes working well, although you would normally pair a captain WR/TE with their QB.

I agree this SD is a little different and I might veer from some of my rules a bit but not too much.

I imagine the large majority of people are thinking the same, but I do really like the idea of going heavy with Jackson and Ingram together and hoping to capture all the Ravens TD’s.

That much I know so far.

Also feels like a good slate to use a K, instead of a cheap punt hoping they get a TD. Although like others, I’m not opposed to going to Boyle or Pringle is Watkins ends up missing.

Chris Raybon seems to think Honey Badger will limit Mark Andrews and they scheme for Hollywood Brown.

I could see it either way. Both extremely volatile.

Anyone have data or know where I can find how and who Mahomes goes to when blitzed?

Obviously? I mean they aren’t going to scheme for Will Snead and Miles Boykin

I’d like to point out that WR1 have done pretty well against the Chiefs this year.

Fuller went 8-112 and Allen went 7-96

Ward could be back although he doesn’t shadow.

No not obviously. Most teams do not have a Tyrann Mathieu that can man up Andrews and allow bracketing for Hollywood. That is coming from Raybon, not me. Im not sure I fully buy into it.

That was also garbage time Fuller and 6’3 slot specialist Keenan Allen.

I dont think so. Mahomes will run also. 2 passing TD’s to Kelce and 1 rushing TD and he could probably make the optimal with no other reciever being necessary

Anything can happen…literally anything. But if you play showdown all the time you will generally not be as competitive if you do not correlate.

  • JSteele

I think going double RB with the Ravens is a good idea. Ingram and Lamar

Agreed you need to correlate but I just didnt see how playing Kelce at Capt. means you need another KC pass catcher

You don’t. You just need Mahomes. Mahomes to Kelce 3 TDs and no one else smashes

If you are playing one lineup then do whatever. You need something odd like Mahomes only throwing the ball to Kelce, reaching the red zone at least three times vs the Ravens while none of the other Chiefs receivers are optimal, including 3k options.

I personally subscribe to the WR CPT must have their QB and at least one other teammate that benefits from their QB in the flex. Sometimes I veer from that and Lamar is one of them….Kyler is another but they are outliers.

Then you have boxed yourself into an extreme drawing dead situation.

That’s how you win though right?

Like earlier, BIF was mentioning how these showdowns are getting chopped heavily. Then you mentioned, well last night only 2 people tied for 1st, but they did it with 2 GB TE’s, which is like a “this’ll never end well” situation. I guessing any logical showdown rules involve don’t play 2 TE’s from the same team, especially when one of them has 1 target through 2 games. So, you can play just the likeliest scenarios, follow showdown rules and hope you hit the perfect combo, which is likelier than the unperfect and tonight that’s probably a massive tie. Although with a Milly up top, 1000 way tie is still very nice money. Or stretch yourself out of the box a bit (ironically boxing yourself in a negative situation), and know you’re giving yourself a more unique build with unique paths.

For what it’s worth Kelce doesn’t correlate with any of the Chiefs WR’s. So, although theoretically in showdowns, playing Mahomes with 2 pass catchers makes sense, if one of them is Kelce, it doesn’t correlate with the Chiefs team. You’d be better off with not using Mahomes, or going elsewhere on the Chiefs.

  • billythekidcowboysheat

For me ravens should look to go at cheifs lbs all game, exploiting that matchup= all the rbs and te are in play to me, although i do agree the honey badger could be on Andrews quite a bit.

I pretty much love all the rbs and te on both sides, obvisouly tyreek and Hollywood have slate breaking ability.

I find myself entering a few terrible line ups that I know wont go well-there is contrarian and stupid and I am in the stupid on a few
