Haven’t seen a thread for it yet. So what’s everyone’s thoughts? I’m fading both qbs, taking both running backs, cooks. And trying to figure out which if any other wr get the catches and a td. Who and when is the 2% owner third string running back going to bust out for a 90yd td run

  • JustDFSin

Has any showdown slate been taken down by fading both qb’s.?In a defensive struggle game I see that

definately. i think a few have been won by taking both kickers and d’s with some randoms. not as fun to root for a game like that but always a solid play if you are doing a few lu’s.

  • biga0787

I play on fd. So no d to choose. Both qbs are garbage. Carr less than keenum but neither are must plays I don’t think

  • ASitar

Lots of Cook, Carr and Jordy. Gonna have some Freeman, Ateman and even Lee Smith. Jalen Richard in 6/7 LUs. Q of the day is: What Broncos WR is the one that gets us to 20 points? I have one LU with $5,500 on the table. So many crappy ways to go.

    Merry XMas eve, right?

Last MNF NO vs CAR, winning lineup in the NFL Showdown $250K Play-Action had 0 QBs and 2 DST.

I believe broncos defense, running game at least can be trusted. Splitting Nelson/Cook seems ideal. Roberts is in play here as a slot that should get plenty of short looks. As is Richard. But primetime is about that number four receiver or number two TE that gets in the endzone (as was the case with KC/Seattle last night).

  • Jase32

Of course, I forgot to add the kickers.

  • ASitar

I’ve got McManus in one, Carlson in one and Broncos D in one HOWEVER, I think with sooo many guys that should put up 12-18 points and with 2 mediocre defenses I don’t think DST/DST/K is a winning strategy tonight. When you have the Bears playing the Rams, then yes a good pivot off of Goff/Gurley is the Bears DST. A legit defensive powerhouse. If these teams don’t score it will be on their inability to move the ball, not turnovers. The Broncos DST MIGHT put up 15-18 points tonight, but I think the Raiders put up enough points to keep that DST point total low. A couple of guys will hit the 30 point mark, 4-5 will hit 18-20, and picking the right low-owned guy to hit 12 will be the key to tonight.

    Freeman
    Martin
    Ateman
    Roberts
    McManus
    Carlson
    Richard (prob not low owned)

    GL tonight

What do you guys think about Darren Waller tonight. It seems like Lee Smith is the guy that vultures touchdowns at the goal line and a lot of people will be on him for that $200 price tag. Waller is a 6’6 TE that used to play WR in college. He’s got speed and they might want to get him more involved in a meaningless game. $800 price tag

  • ASitar

Also, with this showdown it’s way too easy to use all or most salary and not feel like you’re leaving someone out. Don’t. Leave $2k, $3k or more on the table. If this game ends up 21-17 and Cook, Nelson, Lindsay don’t score who puts up the points? Gotta look at the slate like this (IMO).

  • Dfsloser247

If gonna play a qb take carr at least he has the potential to put up 20+

  • ASitar

    Who y’all got at Captain? I’m @ Carr x2, Cookx2, Lindsayx2, Richardx1.

  • JSteele

I like Oakland tonight, I do expect this game to be competitive since it’s a rivalry match but being the last game in Oakland possibly, I expect them to want to put on a show for the fans one last time. I think Carr and Cook shred the Broncos. On the other side, I think I like Tim Patrick. He’s a big body with speed, he’s due to score some TDs sooner or later. I think everyone and their aunt will be on Lindsay as well.

I’m on Carr. It’s not like last night where you need to pay down at Captain to fit in some of the better plays. Plus with the nature of my build Carr would need to go off for the rest of my team to go off.

  • ASitar

The slate will go up in flames when Carr pitches the ball to Doug Martin and Martin then throws a TD to Lee Smith. And then Doug Martin runs another TD in because well, you know, it’s Showdown.

Doug Martin seems like a good play today

    Martin, Richard, or Denver D???

  • queensfinest

should i play jordy nelson or desean hamilton?

If you have 5 chalk guys, Martin. If you have a “punt” in that LU, Richard.

A couple of interesting stats tonight.

Bradley Chubb is just 3 sacks away from the rookie record set by Jevon Kearse (14.5).

Derek Carr is 303 yards away from 4,000 yards. Which he’s never hit.

    To add to this

Denver allows 2 Passing TD’s per game on the road and Oakland allows 2.5 Passing TD’s per game at home. Might want to try and fit both QBs in there if possible

THE most interesting stat: Going to be windy and rainy. Total got bet down from 45 to 42. Don’t play both qb’s. I like Oak to win, they have shown a pulse at home this year. Even against really good teams, they competed hard. Indy, Rams and SD. I think D’s, RB’s and TE’s is the play today. Bound to be one busted coverage big play but who knows who gets it.

Ooowweeee I know, but Raiders are last in passing defense DVOA. I just swapped Keenum in one for Lindsay to have Carr/Keenum in 2/7 (still have Lindsay in the other 5). Decent chance both go off, one with 28 DK points and one with 22 DK points (ish) and you’ll need both. I think. Everyone’s an expert on the gameflow until that fluky play happens and that 2% guy breaks the slate early in the game.

  • draggin49

Can’t decide if I should use Jordy . Will Harris shadow him ?

      RG Tiered Ranking

Last time they played Oakland pretty much dominated most of the game, then Denver got the last 3 scores to win it kinda fluky. Carr went 29-32. Very different teams with Cooper gone and Denver’s secondary injuries, but I think Oakland will at least attempt to exploit Denver by passing early and often.
